Quick question guys. Im from the June 2009 filers forum. We have an appointment on 6/30 for biometrics, but can we walk in prior to the appointment and get it done a few days earlier?

I cheated and look and I was rewarded! My EAD card production was ordered on June 18th! Woooohoo! My Canadian driver's licence expires at the end of July, so I am hoping hoping hoping that I will get a new one soon!

Congratulations rexalite!! Finally. I am happy for you. Well, I am still waiting and getting anxious. What do you mean with cheating? Just the earlier walk-in for the biometrics?

I want to call today and see what's going on with my case.

you can walk-in earlier, that's what a lot of people do, but you always have the chance that they don't let you in earlier. So if you have a long drive and can make it for 06/30 then I wouldn't go earlier. And it is not said that the process goes faster then. E.g. my timeline or rexalites are longer than a lot of others. So it doesn't mean anything going in earlier. But it is worth a try.

I just called USCIS to see what's up with my case. The girl told me you have to wait 75 days after your receipt date. And she read the whole processing times guideline to me....great...it is saying that USCIS has to process the cases how they come in => so first in, first out....hm, I wonder why cases after me are processed faster then. Well, so it seems like I can't do anything till end of July. Great!!!

But I hope that this information helps others, too. As long as you are in that 75 days timeframe you don't have to worry...the approval can still come. After that you should call USCIS.

I got an email this morning from uscis to say that they mailed out my EAD card on 19th June. When i checked my mailbox today, it was there!! very happy!!

Got my interview NOA in mail today.

What do you know, got it on the day of my birthday.

A bit nervous at the same time happy [?] It's a bittersweet feeling.

Anyways, time to really get the game face on and get my docs and act together.

I received a 2nd email today too. The first said they had ordered my card production on the 17th June and the one this morning said 22nd June? I'm a bit confused and hope there isn't any problem although it looks like they are doing this to a few people. Anyone else had 2 emails with different dates?

Ok, so I've just searched some of the forums on here and a lot of people are saying it's normal for you to get 2 EAD notices and that as they are automated it might be that the first is when it gets approved and the second is when the card production department get it through to them.... not sure but doesn't seem to be anything to worry about and people seem to get the card within the first 30 days of the first email! Hope that makes sense!

Hi GhanaMade,

The interview letter tells you everything you need to take to the interview, I'm planning to take everything I sent for the VAWA, and all I sent with the I-485. Remember that the VAWA petition is approved already, so no panic!! (easy to say, I'm panic already) I believed that the interview is quick and they just ask some questions about the I-485 form and G-325A form

My list:

Passports (3)

My old Employment Authorization Card

I-864W Intending Immigrant's Affidavit of Support Exemption THROUGH VAWA

MEDICAL EXAM'S (the doctor gave me copies, just in case)

Marriage certificate / Divorce judgement (and translation's)

Birth certificates (and translation's)

Chronology of entries and exits

ALL NOA'S and everything I received from USCIS

OTHER THINGS:

Passport and k-3 visa for me (old ones)

Passport and k-4 visas for my kids (my exhusband cancell the process for myself and our 2 kids)

Copy of Naturalization certificate for husband at that time (exhusband now, he filed for the divorce when the restraining order was placed)

All restraining orders against my ex -Final after trial good for 3 years

Certified court order after trial w certificate of compliance w/VAWA

I-130 applications approved for myself and my 2 kids (and cancell later on for my ex)

Pictures injuries in my arm and declaration of picture taken (My boss took me to a domestic violence place, they took pictures of my arm )

Pictures of my oldest son injuries, his dad bit him

Statement of my boss who saw the injuries
