AOS Filers - May 2009!

Hello fellow May filers,

Just to let you guys know, we received all 3 of our NOA's this morning 06/04/2009, all 3 meaning, AP, EAD and AOS. Im really hoping by the end of this month that i will be able to work, anybody think this will be possible????

I'd suggest that winning the lottery on both Wednesday and Saturday is a far more likely prospect - no chance.

i mentioned in my previous posts also...but your check will be cashed within 8 working days.....so, dont worry...everything's gonna be alright...

i was the same (or may be worse) as u and everyone else...i used to check my bank account online every day atleast 2-3 times!!!!

After 8 working days, my checks are finally getting cash! Hurray....I'm so broke now.... hehe..jk....its totally worth it! Cheers to all! 8 is the magic number!

Hi Missyk...i just noticed that our packages where delivered on the same day and our checks were cashed on the same day too. I recieved my 3 NOAs in the mail, did you also yours?

Oh no... I just found out tonight that someone broke of their key in our door and therefore our mailman hasn't been able to get in. Maybe my biometrics letter would have already been here by now

Funny how I went to the DMV to renew my license and they requested me to bring in legal documentation (i.e. EAD [card], Approval Notice, etc)

Bummed to hear that I went home... and the moment I sat down an e-mail popped up from the USCIS Case Status Information.

" On June 4, 2009, we ordered production of your new card."

A huge stone has been lifted off one of my mind. Just got to stay my cool and not be hasty about these things.

Stay positive and do what you always do :3 Don't get stressed (like I did... and it was not worth getting stressed... endless nights of no sleep...'_' )

Congratz! Yes I am going to follow your timeline naksah. I checked yesterday in my mailbox , nothing yet. I am hoping today or Saturday. I live out here in San Francisco. So maybe its gonna be a day or 2.

How do you join this email notification system from USCIS?

In order to join the e-mail notification system from USCIS:

1. go to https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp2.

2. Go to Create/Edit customer portfolio Account https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/termscondi...ntextType=CU_EN

3. Accept their terms

4. Create your login and password

5. Once you've logged into your account go to > My portfolio [ on the left navigation bar w/in the site]

6. Add your case number into your portfolio. (The case number is the Receipt number you have on your NOA)

7. Select the button "E-mail On".

8. You should be set and USCIS will send e-mails to you when they have made updates on your case. (Touches don't count)

Ok here is a psycho question

So I checked my online status, and expected nothing. June 5th my 765 and 485 were touched, presumably because I had my biometrics done a few days ago. BUT today I notice that my I131 was touched. I have been looking at ppl's timelines and notice rarely does the I131 get touched.

Could this mean it is being approved soon, or an RFE.....or....well WHAT COULD IT MEAN?? There has been a lot of activity on my file lately! Hope it is good!

Yes, I know I am being psycho. I am unemployed, and have a lot of time on my hands....leave me alone! hahah

I had my biometrics appointment today!!! the appointment was scheduled for 12:00 pm and we arrived at 11:30, but I was finished at 13:10, cause it was so crowded...

now I'm really curious if my case will get a touch and if my EAD case will show up??

WOW! lots of progress for May filers this week!! soo great to see!! welcome all new May filers and congratulations to all those who have approval notices for AP and EAD! That is very fast! woo hooo!!

JulietteDumont: My case status is similar to yours. My case for EAD and AOS was last touched on May 28th (after biometrics appointment) and nothing since. My AP case status still does not appear online. It says receipt number doesn't exist. so i am guessing they haven't even looked at the file for the AP yet.

Congrats to all those who have received NOA's, Biometric appointment letters in the mail and going to the biometrics appointment. It's just wonderful to see things moving along for everyone!
