kiwiana, it's very strange why ur (or many others like u) cannot see their status online....i checked my status as soon as i received the NOA in mail and it was there....

is this the link u r looking at? coz may be u got redirected somewhere else....and ofcourse, use no dashes in the receipt number

yes that is the link i have been using to no success There doesn't seem to be no rhyme or reason why some can view it straight away and some like myself can't.

I have my biometrics appointment tomorrow and i have read that some folks on vj have been able to access their case online once this was done. so am crossing my fingers that i may be able to view it after tomorrows biometrics. I realise this process is all about being patient and all, but it would be ever so good if i could just see any progress that may have been made on my case online....

Count me in mailed AOS May 14 and i received NOA1 today.

For now, I am waiting for Biometrics.

I cross my fingers for you that you can see the status online soon, it is actually a good feeling to see thigs going.

Mine hadnt changed either so I just got my NOAs and added each receipt number to my case file. Strangely when I did this it put the date in as the date that they would have been mailed rather than the date I entered them. Hopefully now I will be able to watch each of them progress or even if its just to see that someone has looked at them will be great

Quick question for any of you who filled out the forms for your foreign national spouse - did you fill in the parts at the bottom of some of the forms that someone other than the person whose name is listed on the forms filled it out? I was thinking that this was only for people who use lawyers, but my husband isn't doing any of this paperwork other than just signing it because he doesn't speak English - do I have to fill out that part??? Thanks and should get this sent off by Thursday - my NOA dates will surely be June but I may just hang around here since I started here...if it's OK with you all that is

I filled out all the paperwork for my husband...we don't have a printer at home so I typed it out at work, printed it and just brought it home for him to sign. I didn't fill out that bottome part, I figured like you that was for lawyers.

And I say you can stick around here with us...no one will mind at all!

yup....you and Moksha are right...that part applies to someone like lawyers who fill out the forms.....spouse filling out the form is the same as the person filling out the form himself/herself...USCIS has no way of finding it out whether u or Mr. X filled out the forms!!!

Form Says:

Signature of person preparing the form "IF OTHER THAN ABOVE". That's why I signed at the bottom as the preparer, it doesn't say firm. But anyways I think that's completely irrelevant.

I finally got my first NOA for my I-130, I-485 and I-765! I guess I did the applications correctly! I was getting worried! Woo hoo!

Does anyone know how long it takes before they schedule a biometrics appt?

I don't want to burst your bubble, but the first NOAs are notices of receipt and nothing more than that. It seems like biometrics appointments are generally scheduled 3-4 weeks following receipt of your applications. Good luck to you!

Hey for those who have done biometrics, have you seen any change in your case status online or gotten an email or anything to acknowledge that you've done biometrics? My case status still just says "application received."

How did everyone spend their Memorial Day weekends? I went to a wedding, and a wedding shower, and had some friends over for game night. It was a pretty soggy weekend, so I was glad not to be camping!
