Absolutely!! My hsuband is finishing his last classes for his degree after work right now, too. So we defenitely have two different ways to spend our days...he's all busy and I am totally relaxed (sometimes bored)....which is not always easy. But hopefully I'll get my EAD soon...

Hi everyone,

I mailed my wife's AOS on 5/13 but still no NOA's. I mailed w/ delivery confirmation via USPS and confirmed that they received it at Chicago office. My question is: Her K1 visa expires on 5/30 and I'm a little worried about it. If she doesn't get her NOA until then, does that mean her status will be in jeopardy? What's the usual turn around time for NOA's?

Hi Devildog!

You don't have to worry yet. I just received my NOAs on Monday and have sent the AOS on the 8th. If you check some timelines, you are still in this frame.

Hey Guys,

My doctors apt went well! Way too easy!

Lucky for me, I was up to date with all my shots so I just needed the skin test and hpv shot.

Dispite how easy it was, it took them 25 minutes to take my blood! They couldn't fine a vein!

Anyways $400 later it's over and done with (and hopefully my health insurance will pick some of that up)

Now back to waiting for my EAD! :dance:

Hey new May Filers! Welcome!

I was surprised to get my biometrics letter in the Mail today with an appointment for June 2. I was also surprised to see them put me at an out-of-state field office. Even more surprised when I saw that this field office has a longer processing time, than the in state field office, although they are about the same distance from me. So it set us back a month!

I think I am going to go tomorrow and get it done. There is nothing on the letter t osay office times or anything. Do you really just walk in? It should expedite the process, yes?

I too was considering going in early as I thought it might speed up the process but I don't want to cause any problems by going in early and having them get upset at me or something lol (Also my husband likes to do things by the rule book exactly and doesn't want to take me early unless I call ahead <_< times like these I wish I could get a licence!!!!!)

I think it was Bellavita who just recently went in early. It would be nice to hear if there has been a "touch" since the appointment or if there is one anytime soon.

11/18/08 - Arrived in U.S. on B2 visa

02/05/09 - Extended return plane ticket to stay for an extra 3 months

04/23/09 - Decided we didn't want to be apart even though we extended the stay and got married!

04/30/09 - Sent I-130/I-485/I-765 from B2 (no I-693 as it is not yet complete.)

05/03/09 - Received email form USPS stating that package had arrived safely and was signed for!

05/11/09 - Received NOA1's for I-130/I-485/I-765

05/16/09 - Received Biometrics Appointment

05/30/09 - Received a CRAZY amount of RFE's that were dated 05/21/09

06/01/09 - Biometrics Appointment Scheduled. In and out in 10 minutes!! Sent off RFE information (Should arrive in MO on Wed.)

06/03/09 - USCIS received RFE response

07/23/09 - I called to have a service request put in

07/24/09 - I-765 Touched (FINALLY)

07/25/09 - I-765 CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED!!!!!!!! (About time!)

08/03/09 - EAD card came in the mail WOOHOO!!!

08/07/09 - Interview letter arrived

09/02/09 - Interview Date

09/07/09 - I think this is the day I received my Green Card.. Can't quite remember anymore.

same here. I was in two minds about going early. First i thought 'no, better not' then i thought of going today instead of 27th May as it is my SO day off work, but at the last moment decided against it. I'm not sure how strict the field office is and don't want to be rejected when i get there.

I had a bad time at the SSA office when i first tried to get my SSN so that has kind of left me feeling a bit 'nervous' dealing with these departments.

I'm not sure if going early would speed up the process but you would 'think' that it would.

Congrats levnd on your medical, Congrats Rexalite on your biometrics appointment and Welcome to all new May filers!

I also was thinking about going early to have my biometrics taken but I feel a little "nervous" about that too, it's probably no big deal to walk in like Bellavita did but I won't go and will wait till my appointment date. USCIS is still procesing April aos applications so I don't want to create any confusion, since I think USCIS people can be easily confused... ahahah!

:rolleyes: Kiwiana,alice and aloe,I went earlier because my appointment is schedulled next saturday,first of all,I'm not very sure if the office will be opening saturday,sencondly,I have schedulle on the whole next week,that's why I'm trying to get there earlier.

If the schedulle is available for you guys,then just follow the schedulle,if not,you have to do something else.As I saw,the field office is not busy at all.

Otherwise,I got "Touch" on my I-485 and I-765 today,seems a good sign B)
