we're going to try to talk to our accountant see what he can do with our tax returns for 2008.

i hope we can find something to fix this problem without involving any joint sponsor.

if not, and we can't find a JS, we just have to find a country where we can both live in.

Come on here folks. You know dam good and well she wasn't asking someone to be a joint sponsor with us! I sent her an email and said we fell below the level and didn't have time to say much more as I had to go and she read it and panicked before I had a chance to talk to her. We are not poverty stricken!!!! We are not poor! I am self employed and make plent of money to support both of us and a family. BUT!!!!! when it comes to tax time I collect and claim as many deduction as I can to lower my taxable income SO it looks like I am poor.

So your sort of cheating the irs...you know the Goverment hates compitition!

I have heard that USEM don't accept joint sponsors but I have also heard that they do. The CO is at his/her discression on accepting them. I would suggest you file a modified return (just enough to clear the poverty level ,you,her and any children you pay child support for) to be on the safe side.
