To put another spin on it:

AOS Interviewer: "Have you worked without authorisation whilst in the United States?"

Applicant: <buttock-clenchingly awkward silence>

Applicant: Yes, because the SSA policy said K-1s were allowed to work without EAD.

AOS Interviewer: Case denied, next?!?

Wrong. While it is illegal to work without EAD, as the spouse of a US citizen, any illegal work you have done will be forgiven at AOS and will not cause denial of your case.

O RLY????? Not so. Says where?

Yes it is true, Says here USCIS.GOV Otherwise Eligible Immediate Relatives (parents and spouses of american Citizens).

(sorry some day I will learn how to insert links  )

I have read some cases in other forums when the interviewed asked the spouse if he/she had worked without authorization, the interviewer answered yes and the interview continued AOS was granted.

However, this only applies for AOS, working witout autorization is not legal and can get her in trouble like any other person, is not like you have permision to work without an EAD because you are married to a us citizen, is not worth the risk.

I would say better wait for your EAD it is only 3 months after you apply for it.
