I luvz me zhe shoes!!! I'll play

Just curious...

1. What is the brand and type of shoe you are currently wearing?

Naturalizer

2. How many different pairs do you typically wear a day/week?

Depending on the outfit brother. Boots, heels, or dressy moccasins. NEVER sneakers. EVER. So let's say, five.

3. Do you have orthotics (molded arch supports prescribed by a podiatrist)?

Nope.

4. Are there any brands that you prefer?

Ecco and Naturalizer are pretty good for heels and mocs --- classy design but super comfy. My fave brand is La Milagresa, Spanish shoes.

5. Any brands that you avoid or won't ever buy?

Not really.

Posted

1. LLBean slippers

2. 4 or 5 per week.

3. No

4. For dress shoes I like Allen Edmonds, wish I could afford Edward Green's. Converse, New Balance, Ecco, Salomon, Vasque, for recreation, casual comfort etc.

5. I can't wear cheap shoess.

And keep in mind that turtles have four feet so I have to buy two pair at a time. It can get expensive.

1. What is the brand and type of shoe you are currently wearing?

Havaianas Sandals.

2. How many different pairs do you typically wear a day/week?

Depends on weather, it's usually a boot, two different day to day sandals or my sneakers.

3. Do you have orthotics (molded arch supports prescribed by a podiatrist)?

Nope.

4. Are there any brands that you prefer?

Not really. I go for comfort plus cost/benefit.

5. Any brands that you avoid or won't ever buy?

Not really a brand but for boots or the shoe for day to day wear I never buy fake leather (must be real leather) or something my feet won't breath well and aim for quality. I do have some sandals and semi fads that are cheap shoes but those are designed to make my outfit look cute and not for wear and tear.

I puffy heart shoes :)

1. What is the brand and type of shoe you are currently wearing? My black heeled flip flops from Old Navy. Life is incomplete without them.

2. How many different pairs do you typically wear a day/week? 2-3

3. Do you have orthotics (molded arch supports prescribed by a podiatrist)? No

4. Are there any brands that you prefer? No. What i prefer are styles and I don't care who makes them.

5. Any brands that you avoid or won't ever buy? Well... Crocs, maybe, although I am eyeing a yellow pair of croc-materialed shoes which look nothing like crocs but are good for rain. birkenstocks are something i always wanted and i even bought some, but they don't fit my feet and the mold becomes painful.

I just counted and I only have 34 pairs of shoes now? I just gave away about 40 pairs last month and probably about 60 pairs in the year prior. I had a giant collection... My feet haven't grown since I was in 5th grade and I kept aquiring shoes... I really want a pair of marlens. really bad. :(

Just curious...

1. What is the brand and type of shoe you are currently wearing? Barefoot

2. How many different pairs do you typically wear a day/week? 3-4: dress shoes for church, black "leather" shoes for work, running type shoes for weeked casual wear. I'll wear slippers around the house when it's cold.

3. Do you have orthotics (molded arch supports prescribed by a podiatrist)? No.

4. Are there any brands that you prefer? Whatever is both inexpensive (generally $25 or less) and comfortable. I'm the opposite of A.J.; I buy almost exclusively from Payless.

5. Any brands that you avoid or won't ever buy? Anything costing over $35, unless it is a very good deal or for a special purpose, like hiking. We bought some sheepskin boots at a considerable discount from a store that was closing a couple years ago. Were a Godsend when we went to Calgary in the winter for our niece's wedding :)

Has to be real leather for me, with good arch support, and on sale. One pair for dress, other pair for kicking tires, but do have a couple of spares, new in the box, just in case. Wife is a different story, just rolls and rolls of shoes, gives an impression of what infinity stands for. I am no expert on this, but think women have shoes for winter, spring, summer, and fall, every shade of the rainbow with a matching purse and gloves, flats, and high heels that range from a half an inch to over six inches, open toed, closed toe, boots, walking, and running, beach, boating, cycling, morning, noon, and night shoes.

It's always a said day when I have to pitch a pair of shoes, but have to when my socks are touching the ground, they don't last forever, but have become like good friends, even found that I could both walk, run, and cycle with the same pair of shoes, and since I took a shoe tying course, that greatly increased my selection of a shoe. Hate breaking in a new pair of shoes, but start chewing gum when I do to see if I can still walk and chew gum at the same time.

I just learned recently that they make special shoes for a treadmill, they are called treadmill shoes, wife got a pair for only 99 bucks on sale, I go barefoot on that contraption.

My most recent pair are from Dr. Scholl's, got those on half price when my wife purchased a new pair, took a couple of weeks to break them in, but very comfortable.

Shoe strings have come a long way, still good when your shoes are trash. Many brands of car tires are good for 70-80 thousand miles where a set of four can be cheaper than buying a pair of some shoes that may only last a year, and you sure didn't go 80,000 miles on them.

If you want a real challenge, try and find a pair of shoes Made in the USA.

1. What is the brand and type of shoe you are currently wearing?

New Balance (I'm on my way to the gym.)

2. How many different pairs do you typically wear a day/week?

I hate going barefoot on carpet, so I usually wear moccasins in the house as slippers. Boots or sandals, depending on the weather, for everyday. Running shoes for the gym.

3. Do you have orthotics (molded arch supports prescribed by a podiatrist)?

I've been prescribed them (flat feet with genetic predisposition towards bunions), but I never had them made because even regular inserts hurt my feet too much.

4. Are there any brands that you prefer? I like things well-made, and I am generally willing to spend more on shoes and boots than other items of clothing. It's more cost-effective over the long run.

5. Any brands that you avoid or won't ever buy? Rocketdogs. Cheap pieces of #######. Anything from Payless (too many problems as a kid from cheap vinyl shoes.)

Oh yeah, and screw Crocs.
