Jay Severin, the fiery right wing talk show host on Boston's WTKK-FM radio station, was suspended yesterday after calling Mexican immigrants "criminaliens," "primitives," "leeches," and exporters of "women with mustaches and VD," among other incendiary comments.

...

Who? Boston? Bastion of all things liberal?

Racism exists plenty up here in the blue states. Look at any election map, we still have lots of towns and counties that go red. That's where the racists live :)

I doubt this has to do with ideology.

If you represent a commercial media outlet and something you say happens to offend people to the extent that it has negative blowback on your employer - you can't expect to be kept on the air.

Yeah there's plenty of it in NJ and NY. The parents with the "Hitler" baby were from NJ after all.

Yup, there's still Klan out in parts of Hunterdon and Warren counties. Not surprisingly, that part is reliably ** ;)

This calls for the "free speech" card ;)

Actually it doesn't. The show's owners can aren't bound to accept or endorse her views as theirs. Rather like what happened with Don Imus. No expecation of free speech when you work for a private company.

If he chooses to call Mexicans leeches and primitives standing on top of a bench in a public park, I'd say he should be allowed to. In fact, in the case of Mr. Severin.. I'd encourage it. I even have a park in mind, where his message would meet precisely the kind of reaction I'd like to see :)

Disneyland?

No. Some place closer to home. Let's just say he'd be greeted with open "arms".

So he's right about the "criminaliens" then?

Now lets turn this around and say that anyone white should have a right to beat up any racist Mexican, because of their views or actions; which is what you are suggesting for this guy.

I am sure you would be here in under 2.3 minutes and post how racist people are.

Not only are you dumb, you are also a f--n hypocrite.

So he's right about the "criminaliens" then?

Pwned!

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

The point is that the guy wouldn't have said what he said if he didn't have a radio station to hide behind.

Point is we have double standards in this country when it comes to the two 'so-called' minorities.

If a Mexican had said something about someone white, I can guarantee it that you would be here saying, "how cares it just some isolated view". Whereas the second someone Caucasian says something like this, you and your buds are here :crying: :crying: murder.

 Happens every time without fail.

No. The point is that this guy used a commercial radio station to promote blatantly racist views, for which he was yanked from the air.

It is reasonable to wonder if he would have said the same things if he were face to face with the people he derides. I seriously doubt that he would.

Of course not. Like all the people who support him (see above), he's a fvcking coward ;)
