Vaccinations for I-693A

Hi everyone,

I have been reading other posts about the Varicella vaccine and have a question. My DS-3025 is practically complete, but there is no official record of when I had chicken pox (I had this when I was 18).

Will I need a titre test from a doctor over here? and will this be expensive?

Some other VJ members have said that they didn't have proof of chicken pox and it didn't matter when completing the I-693 form for the AOS, whilst others just mentioned it to their doctor at their medical and the doctor just wrote this on the DS-3025 form and that was enough.

what do you think I should do?

Both my daughter and I did not have proof that we had already had chicken pox. We just told the doctor doing the medial exam our approximate dates that we had them and that was sufficient.

i did the titre test so they could put it in my vaccination record in Canada.

pls do chk with the civil surgeon here who will do yr I 693A

My civil surgeon, who does a ton of the vaccination supplements and who really knew the whole process in and out, said that an oral history was sufficient. If the applicant says they had chicken pox, our civil surgeon just goes with that. I think that's probably standard, but I would call your local civil surgeon to check.
