Based on my latest analysis of the stats, it will take 42 days from the date you sent in the DS230. But I'm only human so apt to make errors.

It could be anywhere from a week or so to several weeks (if there are any mistakes or missing info). I have not read anything that indicates that Italy is a high-fraud country, so if all of your paperwork is good, it could be sooner rather than later. Best wishes.
