Hello guys:

My husband received the biometric appointment today for May 15th. Unfortunately that day, I will be out of town. I am the US citizen spouse. I understand that I don't have to be present for the biometric appointment, is that right?

I-751 process:

4/06/09: Mailed I-751 to VSC by Express mail

4/07/09: Received by VSC

4/17/09: Check clearance.

4/20/09: NOA1 received in mail (receipt date: 4/08/09)

4/30/09: Biometric appt. letter received (appt. on May 15th)

5/05/09: Walk-in biometric done

9/02/09: Approval Email (touch on USCUS site)

9/03/09: Approval letter received (decision date: 8/27/09)

9/09/09: Touch, but no change in status on USCIS site.

9/11/09: Green card rec'd.

You don't have to be there. Even if there are any problems, it will be fine.

I had a problem with a wrong middle initial at biometrics(they just wrote my first name twice on bio notice, it did't match my conditional card:)). So the supervisor came and solved the problem by looking at my passport. Never asked for a spouse or whatever.:)

4/6/09 - approval recieved by mail dated 4/2/09

4/21/09 - 'card in process' letter received by mail dated 4/16/09

5/8/09 - GC arrived in mail:)

12/23/11 - N-400 sent

4/21/12 - Citizenship interview

5/30/12 - Oath!

10/10/12 - I-130 for parents received at Chicago lock box

1/9/13 - I-130 approved, case forwarded to NVC

2/7/13 - AOS fee e-mail request

2/9/13 - AOS fee paid

2/16/13 - AOS mailed out

2/16/13 - Choice of agent e-mailed

2/25/13 - Choice of agent accepted by NVC

2/26/13 - IV bill e-mailed

2/27/13 - IV fee paid

You can do a walkin sooner and go if you want to. Never have heard of anyone having problems doing so and lots have done so.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

Thank you all for the replies. We did the walk-in biometric today. It was easy.
