I have been very confused with this vaccination thing and a little bit on the AOS. Here is the situation, I know people in here are filing out the AOS and sending them in. But when my wife and I entered the US the immigration officer (Wife is on a K1) he said get married and take the marriage cert. and her to the immigration office to adjust her status... Should we be going to the immigration office instead of filing the AOS?... or is it because he is telling us to go there for instructions?

Now this is about the AOS application, on the vaccination, my wife has an appointment to finish her vaccination in August, Visa expires in May 29th. When we did the whole visa process in Vietnam she had to do the medical exam and vaccination before the interview. The only paper we got were two pieces of paper that has check marks on what she got vaccinated for.

I read somewhere on here that we do not need to submit the I-693 because she had the medical examine over in Vietnam and the forms should of been in that brown package we gave to the immigration officer. Is that right?.. I am not understanding this I-693 thing. This is what we have from the medical exam in Vietnam,

1. Immunization record (with the dates of the shots given)

2. Vaccination Documentation Worksheet (on the top it say FOR USE WITH DS-2053) ...??

HELP =D?

You misinterpreted what the POE officer said, more than likely the said they will be sending the immigrations packet to your field office.

You file for AOS through the PO BOX in Chicago per the form's directions, and you send everything there (I-864, I-765, I-131, I-693, G-325A)

You take the immunization records to a US civil surgeon for transfer to an I-693.

DO NOT LET THE DOCTOR TRY TO HIT YOU FOR A FULL MEDICAL. (Read the instructions for form I-693, and show the doctor that a K-Visa holder does NOT need a full medical done.)

You are talking to clueless receptionists. You need to visit the office, with vaccinations records, and compleate copy of I-693 and directions handy, highlight the part in the directions that says K-Visas do not need full medical, and insist that they do what the directions say. More than likely they will do so for $30 - $40.

Are you talking about the yellow vaccination sheet? (ours was yellow I think) If so, we just used that at the AOS and it was fine.

I will pull out our files and double check what the sheet said at the top. What you are describing sounds the same.
