HOW TO TRACK YOUR CASE FROM NVC TO EMBASSY

After many false starts (not being on the tracking by reference page,

and not putting in the required spaces, I came up with what seems

to be our case going to Bangkok, as I got NOA2 notification by email

on 14 October.

I am in Thailand now, so can I call the consulate and give the tracking reference below??? -

I don't have any direct confirmation from the NVC that it was sent but this seems like an indirect confirmation.

Sorry to be a wet blanket, but if your NOA2 was 10/14 then it's highly unlikely that your case shipped out from NVC on 10/16.

First of all, the service centers ship approved petitions to NVC in batches, not necessarily immediately after approval. If yours missed the outgoing batch for the day, it might not have even been sent to NVC 'til a day or two after the NOA2 date. Figure in another couple days for transit time. Then, at minimum, plan on 1-2 days at NVC before shipping out to BKK—and that's not even accounting for the possibility of that special hell known as additional processing.

Your best bet is to call NVC and try to find out your status with them—and, while you're at it, your consular case number, which you'll need for inquiries with BKK.

At this point the best bet for him is to call DoS and ask them... But that isn't a local call from Bangkok

The date code needs to be for the previous business day. Example.. if it shipped today 10/16/2009 the ref code would be EXP15 OCT 2009A

There are 3 letter codes.. A, B and C.. each needs to be run individually. The ref code EXP15 OCT 2009A will only yield results of shipments from today. mondays code will be EXP16 OCT 2009A

Interesting....My case is still in the midst of being processed at NVC however I am curious to know how this works. In the DHL site, there are two mandory fields Reference # and Date. How are you guys tracking the package? What is supposed to the reference #? When I put Reference # EXP 15 OCT 2009A, I am getting an error stating it's invalid??

I missed a space EXP 15 OCT 2009A leave the date at what they had it set at when the page opened.. insert the ref code and 03801 as the zip code

its working i just tried it right now , there is something you have to know when they confirm that your case sent to the embassy from NVC THEN YOU START TRACK got it? hope it helps

But when i check they sent it October 26, 2009 and then it will arrive October 29, 2009 at USEM.

I checked DHL website and there is no package from NVC to Vancouver on 20th. On the 19th a package left NVC and arrived Vancouver 20th (signed by Martin).

To check yourself - make sure the date reference is exactly as this:-

EXP 19 OCT 2009A

You can play around with the date reference to see what packages left NVC around the 20th.

Just looked now and there is one package on it's way to Sydney...it might be mine? We got our NOA2 from CSC the 27th, but we didn't find out we got it until the 31st. Alex called NVC and got our case number today, but didn't think to ask when it arrived there, lol. He is calling them again tomorrow to give them my email address and to ask them. Fingers crossed it's mine, but I don't know if that is too quick of a turnaround at NVC....

I can't track my package. I am having the same problem.

Can someone help with the tracking me?

NVC says my package was forwarded to Lagos on Nov 3 and DHL keeps saying no shipments are found.
