Visit the Bank to get the statement and for the 1-134 it needs to be notarized. You can do that in any of the DHL office/Center. Hope these help

Thanks and goodluck

Hey guys just wanted to give you an update form my side...

I had spoken to the Department of State on Monday (202-663-1225 press 1 then 0), and after giving them my BMB case number they told me Packet 3 had been mailed out to my finance from the Mumbai Consulate.

However after 4 days (yes i know that is not long enough, but I'm just as impatient as many of you!) she had not received it, so we called the Consulate and the said they couldn't track the status and it could take months to receive Packet 3.

So I then I an email as well to the Consulate asking them status of it and if we could bring in the paperwork in person. They responded within 24 hours with a PDF of the Packet 3 cover letter with the date (iit was the date of them emailing me not the date of when DoS said they sent it out), her name, contact information, case number, and gave me a link on the website to get the forms to submit. But they didn't answer if it was okay to bring it in - but reading what others wrote on VJ you can take in Packet 3 forms in person.

She has the option of sending K-1 Packet 3 back to the Consulate via courier but my in order to speed it up, my finance plans to go in person to the Mumbai Consulate. She has the above forms for K-1 Packet 3 and everything ready for K-1 Packet 4 as well (except Police Certificate and Medical Report) - just in case they needed anything from there.

Monday the Consulate is closed because they are observing Columbus Day, so she will go on Tuesday. I'll keep you posted...

Does anyone know where I can download the packet 3 forms from? If so are those allowed to be sent to the embassy instead of waiting on packet 3 to come to my fiancees house?

Look at the Embassies Info tab and see which Consulate you would go to because I saw there were two in China and see what other users have written they should links to the Embassies websites as well. Read my post above your original post, regarding sending an email because the Mumbai consulate you are allowed to go and give Packet 3 info...Good luck!

Quick question...on the financial information. I meet the requirement...and have my return prepared by my accountant. Question is...do I still need my checking account information? If I do, I deposited probably around 40 grand in the account that year, but I only keep about 1000 at a time. Is that ok? Or, do I need to make a bigger deposit and leave it? Thanks!

I was told that if you have your taxes...and have a stable position... not self employed...that shows what you make a year.. that should be enough... I mean you dont need to show big bank accounts to show you can pay your bills... and support your SO...just have copies of all the taxes you can get your hands on, in my case I have for the last 5 years...and also bring copies of your W-2 things like that any investments you have etc...I also have copies of my bank statements for the last 5 years, but only going to carry last 18 months or so... thats just in case....Also, a letter of employment showing how much you make and how long have you been hired there etc....lastly things such as mortgages etc that you might have are always a plus...

What about proof of a professional doctoral degree...?

Well... I dont know exactly what is the question, I would assume you are talking about taking or showing proof of your educational degrees? The interview is just for you to show that the relationship is bonafide, meaning that you only need to prove that you and your SO are together because you are in love...not because your SO is just trying to move into the US .... Secondly, they need you to prove that you make enough income to support your SO so that she/he wont be a charge or load to the government. All of this can be easily supported with letter of employment, previous year taxes, and bank statements, properties, etc... they are not questioning or making their decision based on yours or your SO's educational background... but again.. you are welcome to bring any document that you might think is relevant to show at the interview.....my only advice is just show them what they ask you to show in the interview... for instance: if they ask: show me your taxes for 2008? ........ and you give them 2008-2000 they do not like that because they did not ask you for all those years...

Hey guys, I just wanted to pass on some good news and say THANK YOU for all your guidance thus far. My fiancee just went to the Mumbai Consulate office early in the morning, and approached the information window with her paperwork. The lady at the counter, took from her DS230 Part I and the one page Applicant Statement, and began to do something on the computer. Minutes later she printed out her interview letter and gave it to her and the Packet 4 information on the spot!!! I guess we were just lucky as others who have posted on VJ that submitted their P3 in person were sent their interview date letter and Packet 4 via courier.

The interview date is 18 November. so now she will be working on the medical and police certificate. We had already completed all the other forms in advance, so are all set.

Good luck to you, and keep me posted on how things go.

Meant it to show my ability to support her....overthinking. Good news though, the package is at the embassy in Bogota. :)

11. A collection of forum private messages exchanges from 2004-2005 between him and I

12. A collection of Wii messages from his Wii to my email exchanges from 2008-2009

13. An excerpt of chat logs from May and June 2009 (TOO MUCH to print out all 5 years)

14. 8 emails from him from 2005-2006 printed directly from my hotmail inbox, showing my name and his attached to email addresses

26. 2 snail mail from me dated 2004-2006

27. Several stubs of packages I sent to him from 2005-2007 (he lost his stubs. I kept mine for sentimental reasons)

28. Several AT&T phone cards from Walmart he sent me for sentimental reasons which he had used to call me in 2005 (well how the heck would a Malaysian get their hands on something like that unless it's real)

29. Affidavits from my mother, his mother and his dad supporting the relationship and attesting to it's genuineness

30. Facebook screenshot of his sister commenting on a picture of both of us

31. Updated and notarized letter of intent from him

32. Updated letter of intent from me (probably redundant)

I have a few emails from his mother's blackberry to my email address, maybe I should print that out to show we communicate. I think this is a mountain of evidence for our 5 years together. But looking at the pictures should be enough in my opinion. Does not hurt to be ready though. We will fight and do whatever it takes to finally be together.

The interview is probably a formality. We're preparing for war.

PS: My back is going to hurt dragging all the paperwork to the embassy. I need U-Haul

Whats up Yall,

I got a question. Has the majority of early may filers recieved the p3? I recieved the NOA2 Sept 1st, and the hard copy from NVC on sept 16th, Im getting a little nervous because my fiancee hasn't the p3 yet, looking at timelines I think she might should have it by now.

We have received both packet 3 and 4. You should have it by now actually. I recommend contacting the embassy and inquiring about it. We had to have packet 3 emailed to us because it took so long to come by mail. Packet 4 came a week and a half after it was mailed.
