I phoned the NVC again today and spoke to another person. She just said we were being processed through their systems and it hasn't left them yet but it shouldn't take any longer than a few days.

Hello guys...what has been going on here....Hoping everyone now has received their NOA2>? Just checked the DHL tracking now and the Package is still sitting at the DHL facility and hopefully it will be delivered today. Wish everyone safe trip on this Journey and remain blessed

bonne nouvelle. my case was delivered to the embassy today . i so hapyy things are now going fast, I just hope they continue like that. i was appouved on the 17th, the 21st NVC got my package, they chipped it the 23rd and it's delivered today the 25th. I can't wait for the to send package 3, the only thing now is that DOB error in the application. i hope it doesn't cause us pain to correct it.

I called today again. and talked to another supervisor who told me that she could not give me information about my case... but she was like: well sotimes some cases come in and out so fast that we cannot get to see them at all... and I requested to send you a letter by mail for you to have the information you requested... but I think if she tells me that it means that my case left already, so I hope is the one that is shown on the DHL website to be delivered ...how did you find out your case got to the embassy did you call them??

I called them yesterday regarding the Wrong DOB and the lady told me that my case already left on the 23rd. she said to deal with the embassy about it now. so i looked on DHL yesterday tha indeed i saw a package for paris. today again i checked and it was delivered. so that's how i found out. on monday i'm gonna call them.

don't worry, and keep checking DHL if that package to be delivered get delivered, you can call the embassy and ask if it's yours. I hope it is.

Just checked on DHL's website and saw something was sent to Mumbai today so called NVC but they said they still don't have any record of my case.

They said that until it comes to NVC it will come up as no record again, anyone else experience this?

yes, I had something similar, then found out I was stuck at NVC in AP status. I sincerely hope you have better luck, and go with those who pass quickly through the NVC phase. Godspeed!

What does AP status mean? And when it was sent to NVC orginially did you speak to someone on the phone and could they find your file then?

DND2009, AP means additional processing. Did NVC give you the date when the package left them? If they did, then the package did leave and the consulate just still hasn't logged your case into the system. Wait 5 business from when DHL said they delivered your package. Not sure how your consulate is, but that's what happened to the Montreal consulate.

NVC said they have not received my case yet, so don't know when it left. I saw a case had left for Mumbai consulate which is why I thought it could be mine. So right now it's in not AP or anything just not received to NVC yet.

I called them again today and after I gave them my receipt number they asked for Beneficiary's name and birth date so that was a flag to me that they had received, and after the agent confirmed my identity, she gave me the NVC case number and said they received it yesterday (the 24th) and right now it's in their systems and to call back Tuesday or Wednesday to see if it had left...Yay!

Is there a way to check status of the petition with the NVC case number? And is this the reference number I use when calling the Department of State to see if the Embassy received the file and if they scheduled an interview.

Also, has anyone read/seen anything regarding Mumbai Consulate and if I can call/email them to check status of the file as well once they have received it?

the only ways are to either call or send an email.... it is faster to call them... and when you call them you can use either your case, nvc number, or your receipt, uscis, number... whichever you want to use....

about the appointment in India, I would not be able to help but like I mentioned before.... use VJ's search tool to find people from your SO's country to get advice from them....

Licia! Ciao cara! Well, we're stuck in NVC now, and I've pretty much abandoned this thread for the time being and moved to the "stuck in NVC" thread. Now my Love is planning another trip here to the States to stay with me a few weeks, given we're in I-129f Purgatory.

I'm so happy for all those who are making progress, but then it also makes me sad each time I see someone else's case progressing and ours is stalled. Last year I endured 5 weeks without electricity after Hurricane Ike came here where I live. Then the media would say, "85% of houses have electricity restored" ... then "90% ..." then "95% have electricity restored... that only made me feel worse, knowing I was in the last 5% to have electricity restored, although of course I was happy for those who had it already! This is a similar feeling.

OOO Ladonna, this is so sad and i feel really bad and sorry for you. Give it this week before planning anything else. because what if your love comes and then NVC sends your package? then he'll have to return before his expected date of return, and that's gonna be a wait for you two. so please be strong and keep praying, i'm praying for you too. when you call NVC what do they tell you? have they given you a case number yet? if yes, then they've probably sent it to the embassy. you cann call they embassy and see if they've gotten it.
