I called NVC this morning and they said that my case have not been received yet. But I saw a case using the DHL tracking number tool, and it shows a package from Portsmouth to Caracas that left yesterday.... but I dont think my case made it the dame same from USCIS to NVC?

Did you talk to a live person or use the automated message? The automated message does not work for K1's, so you need to talk to a live person.

I think I saw a post somewhere that could be similar to your case. The poster said that NVC could not find the number but it was because it was in and out so fast that they never got the chance to log the case.

Try calling them again and maybe you'll get a different person who will tell you what's going on.

Good luck!

Tina

Well it might be another case going to Caracas... who knows... I am calling again later this evening, right now is busy...It would be right down awesome if mine was the one in that package.... let me try again...

Is there another way to find out that CRS# ? how did that person found out about his/her case leaving so fast?

in Venezuela they do not send a notification or anything once it gets there... so I am just curious...

Do they know that we can track the packages???

They didn't...I think they gave the USCIS number.

Well when I call I always talk to a live person, I just called and I was told that if they do not have it in the their system it means they have not gotten it...

So I guess that one was not mine!!

Anyhow... just out of curiosity you did not have your CRS number on your NOA2 correct?

No, just the USCIS number. Once NVC has received it, they override the USCIS and assign a NVC number beginning with letters of your consulate. Of course, when you first call NVC, you need to give them the USCIS number.

It was actually weird when I called because they just asked for the number. I told them. Then they asked me to verify the petitioner name and beneficiary name and dates of birth. Then they asked me what I needed to know. I then asked if they received our case and asked for their assigned number. Weird how it was in that order. When they asked me to verify, it meant they got our case, but I still needed to know the NVC number.

Anyway, you do need to find out your CRS number from NVC. They don't have it on the NOA2.

Case Status, Processing Times, Office Locator, and Change of Address Online will be unavailable starting on 9/18/09 5PM EST until 9/19/09 12PM"

But I've been trying since morning (note above says after 5pm) and can't get to a page where I can enter it in...

Am I the only one to just realize there are 2 different forums for May 2009 filers??? and they both have about 54 pages ... I kept wondering why sometimes the May filer forum didn't look the same as it did the last time I looked at it ... LOL ... Anyway, if there is someone else out there as slow to notice such things as I was, be aware there is a May 2009 filers forum and a May 2009 k-1 filers forum
