I am 12th on Igors list because we sent our visa app in march and it arrived in May . Not a good thing...Arghhhh! Cmon please approve me, I have 4 boxes packed and I wanna leave!

Good morning, May filers!

I was really hoping that I'd hear some good news on my birthday (today), but I guess that's still wishful thinking

Anyway, 12 April filers and 1 May filer this week, out of 23 approved so far. It's half of last week, but I suppose USCIS was approving non VJers or those who just don't update their timelines.

Happy Birthday Tina!!!, I hope you get that wonderful present of your NOA2 ... I would not get mad if we both get it though... I dont mind them giving me the NOA2 as a belated B-day present .... timelines seem to be shrinking.... and I hope VSC keeps the going... I want them so bad to start on May for real!! but I do feel bad for the March and April filler who deserve theirs first!!!, but like my fiancee says: "I really want the other ones, March and April, to get theirs, but after ours!! "...

By the way, Leo and I finally updated our address online with USCIS. The online form was intimidating! Got a address change confirmation number that starts with CAXXXXXXXXXXXVSC.

He's gonna call them today and insist they double check to avoid any problems. We still cant see our case online yet. Did yours become visible immediately after updating your address online or was it some time later?

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! I suppose even if the NOA2 comes in the next two to three weeks as a belated birthday present, I'd be happy, too.

Leo&Farah: if yours is anywhere like mine, your case might be entered the next day and touched. Hope you'll have better luck than we did. Then again, maybe not getting a notification by mail might be a silver lining in the clouds because that gives you a reason to call USCIS to find out what's going on with your case. I'll have more knowledge come Sept 11.

We also set up forwarding with USPS as added security. Can't be too careful. So hopefully things work out well and no delays or complications arise.

Well, that sounds like a good idea. Let me know if you get to see your case online in the next couple of days. Someone said that when they called to change their address over the phone, they still couldn't see the case online. So I have no idea what's going on.

Now, it really makes you wonder whether they have already started on May applications. Perhaps those two were just false alarms. It would be wonderful if it were true, though!

I have this feeling that there are people who have been approved but are not updating their timelines. Not sure what's up with that.

Just an update. Within a day of changing address online, we can finally see our case status online.

It's weird seeing it all of a sudden. It says:

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On May 8, 2009, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Does not look like we got a 'touch', RFE, or NOA2 yet which we worried about since we were stuck in address limbo for 2 weeks so thats good news?

On another note, Leo called USCIS today to confirm the address change and they told him you can't confirm via phone for an address change. I don't know if he's been had by the misinformation line since he didn't talk to a supervisor. Is this real or just bullshit? Has anyone confirmed an address change online before?
