Good morning, May filers!

8 approvals now, 4 of them from April. I think the current trend has been that once the previous month (on VJ) as reached the halfway point, they move into the next month. So with that, only 24 April filers left to go and we can see some May filers getting their approvals :)

Hopefully that will be in the next week or two!

Have a good day!

TiNa

Correction...the Berkeley stats say 5 April filers of the 8 this week!

the 50% mark has been pretty accurate... having said that, as a March filer there are still a ton of us waiting. With the Sept 30 fiscal year coming upon the USCIS fast and furious... perhaps the pace of approvals will pick up (as they have been in recent weeks)

Good luck everyone... almost there on this leg of the journey

Richard,

I see that you are also an Atlantan filler, I am one as well... I read in another thread that you have contacted state goverment officials, have you heard anything?? I hope you here something from them soon...and by that I mean get your actual NOA2 soon! I am curious because, hopefully not, but if needed I would request your guidance on contacting them if I dont get my approval in a couple of weeks. I hope all of you march and april fillers get your NOA2 soon...

I thought I would give the Congressman's office a few days before calling them back, so the answer is no, I have not heard anything from them yet. I did file a service request with the USCIS on Monday... but that takes 30 days to get an answer on.. :)

I am more than happy to help anyone that needs some help or guidance... I don't really read this thread often... so PM me if and when you need it. Hopefully, you won't need it.

Good luck

Hey toronto nonie,

Glad to brighten someone's day :) So which state will you be moving to? I'll be heading down to Indianapolis. Roland got an assistant professor position at IUPUI. It's a tough market out there for professors, which is why it's easier for me to leave my current job to get one in Indy.

Anyway, there should be 10 approvals so far, 7 April filers.

I will be moving to Connecticut; my fiance went to college there and then got a fantastic job there, so he never left! I've already had a job interview at the company he works for and it was a favourable meeting :) thank goodness my skills in HR are so transferrable! My best friend lived near Indianapolis for 7 years and loved it!

i'm getting so anxious knowing that all these VSC April filers are getting approved!! I feel so giddy :P

Yeah, luckily for me, too, I'm an accountant - when we discussed about who's moving to where, we thought it would be easier for me to find a job as an accountant than for him to find a teaching job at a university. So here we are.

I visited Indianapolis for a couple of days, and got a nice apartment near one of the big parks.

Anyway, hope that the good news keeps coming!

On another note, it's been 30 days since we changed our address online and we have received nothing from USCIS...very odd. Oh well, at the very least, we're allowed to call them in two weeks to find out what's going on. Hopefully, we will receive some good news then.
