Thanks, toronto nonie. Whatever keeps us going, right? It's the May VSC filers version of the "waiting game"

I'm counting 14 April filers approved now, not to mention a couple of touches on some for potential approvals

your updates have helped to keep me positive...i was told on monday that because i am moving to the US anyways within the next few months, i might not be able to stay at my current position after the end of October as they have to reduce headcount and since i'm leaving anyways, it might as well be me :( your updates this week have helped put a smile on my face and have faith that December just might be our month. Thanks so much for being the May 2009 VSC cheerleader :)

btw...i was then told by my manager today that she is 98% positive that she will be able to keep me until the end of the year, which was a big load off my shoulder!

I'm thinking probably end of Sept, keep our fingers crossed. There's still 68 March VSC filers and 93 April VSC filers left. If it takes two months for interview and NOA2 comes in Sept, then hopefully visa in hand by November with a December wedding.

A December wedding is a good excuse to try seeing if I can pull off wearing a wedding cape since it will be an outdoors elopement thing probably on Smoky Mountains or something.

Wedding caps are hawt.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I'll be at my current job until beginning of October, so I'm going to look for a temporary/contract job for a couple of months. What gets me a bit angry is that when you tell the employer the truth about moving because you want to do them a favor, it comes back and bites you, either by replacing your position or just letting you go. Well, luckily you may get to stay!

Anyway, another piece of good news is that 17 April filers have been approved!

if we are both out of a job in October, maybe we should hang out and drown our sorrows :) i'm right downtown Toronto! BUT i feel like if VSC keeps cranking out the approvals the way they have this week, then we are in good shape for a December visa! stay strong my friend and thanks again for the updates
