Hey fellow May filers!

I'm back from my US trip. It was great learning how to windsurf. Scary with the windy gusts but great :)

Anyway, I guess there's not much movement with our May filers, eh? What's promising, though, is that the Feb filers who have gotten their NOA2's already have received some interview dates. Pretty cool...*crosses fingers*

Oh, and happy belated Canada day for the Canadians here.

TiNa

Welcome back! hope your trip was awesome :) Thanks again for the update about the border crossing...it really helped to appease my fears when i travel in August. Btw...funny story, my fiance is here for the weekend and he flew in through Porter Airline in Toronto - he got grilled by the customs officer about his visit here! i thought it was funny, because usually i am the one who gets the tough questions and he just sails right through...take care and have a fabulous weekend!

Has anyone tried to log into the website to check their status?

Mine again today said "Your case can not be found at this time in Case Status Online. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283."

hi there...i have never been able to log in to check my case status online. My fiance checked with our laywer because we were concerned that maybe our case was missing or something and our lawyer told us that there was a slight problem a bit ago with cases getting tracked on line. He sent us an article on it; i will try to find it in my email and send it to you. Bottom line, don't worry about and if you are, then just call that number. According to other VJ's once they have called that number they were able to see their case tracked :)

Hi .. kinda new here and not entirely familiar with this website yet. This is my first post so please bear with me if I am asking a question that has already been addressed elsewhere in this site.

My question is that I got my NOA1 from the VSC for my I-129F (K-1) on April 14, 2009. I checked the processing timeline on their website (last updated last month) and it shows that it is processing November 2008.

Does this mean that they are now taking 7 months? I was expecting a response from VSC around mid July (90 days after NOA1).

Should I now expect to hear from them in August? Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hello svenski,

First of all, welcome! we are here to help each other on this journey. Now, to respond to your question here are some key things that you might already know, but just in case:

- USCIS processing time is a rough estimate of the last case they are working on; however, there might be some people who are still waiting for their letters eventhough they applied before that November date.

- As of right now, using VJ, VisaJourney's Igor's List, as database... they are approving mostly February fillers, finishing some January ones, and starting some March ones...

- Your expected wait time is very much depended upon how lucky you are... there is no way of knowing for sure if your case will be processed before, on, or after the expected time shown on your timeline on VJ, remember is just an statistical study.

Using those statistics: March => July, April => August, May =>September, etc... so using that rule of thumb, you should be getting yours by mid August.

Lastly, if you plan on calling USCIS to complain about not receiving your approval yet, they will claim that they are working on November cases, so they will make you wait at least that timeframe before they do anything.

I am pretty confident that most people will get their approvals within the 4 months after NO1... but we wont complain if we get it before :innocent:

Good luck on your journey!!!

since my fiance submitted the petition we were never able to see our case online.. it says the same thing that u get...that our case is not in the system...the only time something came up on the site was when we finally got approved...

i guess some ppl are lucky they can view their case.. some just dont.. USCIS needs to hire more ppl to speed up the process and update the website...

No, still can't access it online. Leo called USCIS today and had to go through the entry level canned responses before talking to someone who actually knew their ######. They said there was a glitch in the system but verified our petition was in there and not lost.

Not sure if I understand the situation entirely but to me the only glitch seems to be laziness to update things.

Hi everyone,

How are you all doing? I was just checking the NOA2 timelines and it seems that our estimated time has been pushed back a month now from September to October. Hope that's not true!

Have a good one!
