Hmm...we've got to be the quietest group there is! Anyway, just checking in and seeing how everyone is coping. Hopefully we'll all be able to be with our fiance(e)s before December!

I know we are quiet on here....I'm going to start posting daily just to keep us on the first page! lol

I am hoping we can be married by december at the latest.

Boy this is a quiet group :P

Yeah, I think December would be a reasonable assumption. We actually planned to have a December wedding, and I'm hoping that we will be able to pull that through *fingers crossed!*

Well, that's taking into account the Montreal consulate moves faster than it's moving now! I've been following that and it's not looking pretty, but hopefully that will change when it's our turn.

I know I've been following that as well and frankly its BS. People in 3rd world countries are getting their interview within weeks and we're waiting 3 or more months just to get SCHEDULED???? Thats nuts. If they are so understaffed....HIRE some people or let some of the other consulates handle some of them. There's a US consulate in Toronto...why can't they process the k-1's? Its just plain ridiculous.

My suggestion is that we all walk up to wall in our home, paint it and watch it dry. That's about what this wait will be like and there is not alot you can say while you watch paint dry. :clock:

Maybe I read this wrong ( I hope I did anyway ) ... but are you saying people in 3rd world countries should not be approved as fast or as timely as other countries?

Each consulate is obviously different on how they process cases and how fast they are able to process them .... maybe I just misread what you were trying to say ....

Seriously? Thats what you got out of that rant? That I'm picking on 3rd world countries? Gimme a break.

I'm saying Montreal is ridiculously slow. Its not fair that ANY country get approved faster then others. Maybe you should try to not take offense so easily. I also think vermont and California shouldn't be so way off from one other either. That doesn't mean I think the OTHER half of the USA should get theirs slower then me either.

Here in Brazil we have 1 embassy and 3 other consulates (as well as offices around the country) and only the Consulate in Rio de Janeiro processes K1's. So instead of going to the consulate in Recife that is a 3 hour drive away from me, I have to fly all the way down to Rio (which is about 2000 miles away from here) to have my interview. Pathetic, I know.

Yeah they do the same to us to in Canada. Only Montreal and Vancouver do K-1's and only Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto do medicals. So depending on where you live you may have to do some serious traveling for not just one but BOTH. I am luckily near Toronto so the medical part won't be too bad.

Hey everyone,

Well, at least things seem to be moving now. It looks like they are currently working on mid-February, which means we could possibly get our NOA2's by early to mid-September and then hopefully move by early December. There's hope yet! :)
