My fiance had her interview on Monday April 27 in Kiev. They were pretty tough on her as I had an ex-wife from there 7 years ago. At the end of the interview - they didn't tell her whether she was approved or denied but gave her a pink slip. Other people there for interviews (some K-1's also) received green slips! I have never heard of the green slip - so I don't know if the pink slip is a good or bad thing! She didn't receive the blue or white so I am thinking that she was approved?? They didn't say she was denied - but they didn't say she was approved either!! When she asked the officer said "Wait for your passport and you will find out!!" I am confused!!:wacko::wacko:

did she pay for the courier to deliver?

What did the "pink" slip say?

If they were going to refuse there was no reason to keep the passport...

YMMV

Wow. Unusual for Kiev. generally the pink slip is GOOD. But the color of paper doesn't really matter, they can use whatever color they want and it varies from one consulate to another. Another member and his fiancee were there the same day, received the "pink slip" and got their visa in hand yesterday (picked up at FedEx). Oddly enough they were also not told if it was approved or not and he quickly wrote me an email and asked. Did they tell her to go to the FedEx window and arrange delivery?

Sounds like there was a grouchy CO in Kiev Monday.. What did the paper SAY on it, that is the key. If she arranged delivery she should be able to check with FedEx by now, tomorrow is a big holiday, I do not think FedEx will be delivering tomorrow.

Ya - she paid for the courier to deliver - although not in the system as of today. Tomorrow is May day - so don't think will get the passport back until next week. My reasoning was also that if they kept the passport - they would put the visa in it - although I have heard now that they are keeping the passport regardless... I don't know... lol A simple yes or no would have been helpfull... :bonk:

I agree, how hard would a simple yes or no be? I think he/she was having a bad day. (I'll bet they're not even seperated form their spouse)

I would say it is approved. I have not heard they were keeping passports if not approved. You can try calling the consulate visa section direct, but they may be already closed for today and will not be open tomorrow (I think they are closed Monday as well)

Consulate direct line in Kiev 011-38-044-490-44-45

Immigrant visa section direct line 011-38-044-490-44-22

Though the K-1 is a non-immigrant visa, they are handled by the immigrant visa section at the Kiev consulate

We had our interview the same day April 27. we got pink slip, I ask FedEx to hold our passport for pickup, on Wednesday I called them at 11AP and FedEx told me they have her documents,

it took us one hour to get there traffic was just so bad. But any way we got the passport with a visa.

But CO didn't say anything not even Have a nice day or something. We were worried I could sleep, some people here know how did it go.

I think you you will be ok, and DO not read any other websites (like i did) very scary especially when you are waiting for it.

Good luck.
