Quick question regarding the creation of the AOS Fee Bill -- specifically, it's about creating the barcode to paste into the MS Word document....

The shortcut does not specify what the "Data to encode" should be. The default setting isjust "12345678912" --- please tell me what this number should be or if it should be changed at all????

Thank You!!!!

of course, your case number is not just *numbers* :D the full case number included the 3 letters at the beginning...and hey it is written in the shortcuts.

.... you can generate a barcode on your own and paste it in the horizontal box that asks for the barcode strip. Go to http://www.idautomation.com/java/linearservlet.html. Type in the case number under "Data to encode." .....

Thanks for verifying Isabel -- I appreciate it....

Actually, I am following the shortcuts -- I was in the process of generating the barcode which is what prompted my original inquiry. I just wanted to confirm that the example stated in the "shortcuts", includes the 3 letters...

Thanks again

Yes, under the DS-2030 (right above the AOS fee bill instructions), James says:

(Whenever you are asked for your case number, ALWAYS put in the three letters with which your case number begins, not just the numbers.)
