Amanda I understand the immense anticipation you must be going through. At this time last year I was in the same boat. It has been 10 months since I had seen my then fiance. His interview was also in June. You will be surprised about how fast it actually goes. The days kind of crawl by... and almost seem like one gigantic day. But then all of a sudden you're booking the plane ticket and the next he's in your arms! That feeling makes all this waiting MELT away like warm butter.

I remember when he was on his way to America. That day I scheduled a bridal shower (to help take my mind off the fact that within hours I would have my man with me ). I was so anxious ALLLL DAY! Then, I got a phone call at about 10pm from Tarik. He was in Atlanta GA and said his flight to Ohio was CANCELLED and I had to wait until the next morning for him to fly here. He was scared to be alone in the airport over night. He bought numerous phone cards to call me from the pay phones and called me multiple times during the night. I could not sleep anyway so it didn't matter. The next morning my mother drove me to the airport (because I was shaking lol) and we waited and waited. The next thing I knew, I saw Tarik in a green and white polo shirt and khaki pants. Watching him come down the escalator was the longest period of time I've waited in my life! Then finally, I held him. I kissed him. I smelled him. Wow. Trust me. It's alllllllllll worth it.

Good Morning Zarqa---No I haven't checked DHL, but I guess its just as well...Amman hasn't responded to my e-mail yet so maybe I will e-mail them again today. They are for sure to receive it right?

Maureen--According to the interview letter we got from NVC, they have everything. We have a third party agent who is going to meet with my husband a little before the interview. Medical exam was completed...I am guess though I need to have my husband go with extra proof...I am thinking of sending my cell phone records, yahoo chat records, photos & have him take letters that I mailed to him in with the couple of packages I have sent him. Is that enough or do you think I should send other stuff? Suggestions welcome!

Michelle-You are totally right. I left my husband in October and it seems that this wait has been forever...especially right after I got back I thought I was going to die without him here! But now that I look back, the past 6 months have flown by and now only a little over a month until his interview. I am hoping he will be able to get here before July 4th! And I know I will definitely forget about all this wait when I see him in the airport. I will probably have to have someone drive with me because the airport he will probably fly into (after JFK) would be Raleigh which is about 2 hours from here! I am just so thankful we are finally at the last step and the wait will be over sooner than we know. May is a very busy month for me...its my birthday, my niece's birthday, my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary...so hopefully that will keep me distracted.

Morning everyone Waiting for hubby to come online soon here after he gets cleaned up from work, trying to comfort him. He was worrying about the 'swine flu' and saying things like tell your family they better not eat the pig meat. Yes, as if it's caused from eating pig meat.

Today, I have more cleaning to do to prepare room for him.. and I think I'll even dust my bookshelves!

Just another day over here.

The weather has been cooler but normal for this time of year.

? How many of you mothers would allow your 12 year old daughter to fly to Florida for a week with a friend and her family?

Not a best friend, not anyone's parents you know very well, just a friend?

My ex apparently said she could and now I look like I am the mean one and I don't want her to have any fun but it wracks my nerves to no end and I am sure if left solely up to me the answer would be NO!
