Hello,

our I-129F got approved last April 19, 2009. Now we are to work on the I-134. Do we really need to show bank statements of my petitioner? He never had a bank account, would this affect the approval of my visa? Is there any alternative requirement for bank documents?

Hope you could help me, I am just worried I wont get approved because of this.

Love conquers everything!!!

I didn't forward anything from my bank to my fiance. I sent the I-134, my W2 and tax returns (Federal and State) for '08, plus transcripts for '07 and '06 (they're free and can be ordered by your fiance through the phone @ 1-800-829-1040) and my three most recent pay stubs. If it turns out to not be sufficient, I assume my Honey will probably just get blue slipped for whatever else is required. From what I've read in the Embassy reviews for UK (your country may be different), a blue slip RFE delays a complete Visa approval for as long as it takes to send in the extra required evidence, so I've decided to just send what I can and not worry about it. I feel you though ... I was STRESSED OUT at the start of the Affidavit, didn't know where to start. Hope this helps. :)

If your fiance has enough income and can document that, it doesn't matter if he knows what a bank is. Leave all bank and asset information BLANK.

Bank and asset information only needs to be completed if you are using cash and assets to qualify.

Don't worry about the bank statements. My fiance just had her interview at USEM. They asked for my ITR and W2 for last year 2008, and the I-134 application. They didn't even ask for the letter from my employer which I thought would be one of the most important documents that she would need. Anyway, every situation is different but I would have your fiances ITR's and W2's for the last three three years. Hope this helps. Good Luck
