Dang!!!!!!! maybe american who cant find (or shall I say "rejected"?) young and adorable wife in the west, fly down to The Philippines to look for wife?

I think there's a good amount of that taking place, but sadly that's the universal assumption whenever there's both an age and nationality difference.

My wife is just under 4 years younger than me (when I'm and elderly 98, she'll be a spry 94) and her father is an elected official in Japan.

Because my wife has a very youthful appearance, I've actually had people assume that she was a "mail-order-bride".

These assumptions also occur when European women marry someone older, and let's not forget about

the American women who marry MENA men who are younger (and often slimmer) than their spouse.

HOWEVER, I can see an advantage for ANY woman at ANY age to seek a husband who's "mature".

Older folks usually have things younger folks want, like stabile income, real estate, savings, credit, nice cars, the ability to travel at will...

...and hottie young wives. :)

I can see it as a win-win. Young woman marries older man, old man dies, now she's an older woman, marries a younger guy, she dies,

and the cycle continues.

There's an old saying, "water moves down, people move up, that's natural".

I'm smart enough to know that when you DO love someone unconditionally, you don't objectify them and demean them by thinking that they came off some kind of Filipina wife assembly line. You talk about her as if she can just be replaced by a newer model from the same factory. Yeah, I can see how she was so special to you...just like your first car. Maybe when you order your next one you can get the LoJack option for when she runs away.

Nope, One thing I DID learn though was that women like to be told just how much you love them. If I had just told her that every single day, things may have worked out differently. I am not GOD and I can't predict the future or KNOW what might have happened. (but it couldn't have hurt now, could it...)

And I CAN replace her with a 'better' model... She will be a Philipino and she will know how to take care of me and be my partner in life. It may take me a while to find her, but I will. I am not a 'quitter' and don't give up easily...

BTW, I still got that car... 2001 Camaro, LS1 w/piles of Z06 upgrades, bottle fed with a 10lb polished aluminum nitrous bottle and custom built by me dual stage dry kit, only got 20k on the clock, car looks like new and feels like it is on crack when you drive it... In MY mind, a man aint no man if he dont have a black racecar; with some black guns in the trunk (just in case he decides to go hunting or the the local range for practice); and a big, black, attack dog sittin in the passenger seat 'just in case he has to get out of the car and go grab a beer or pack of smokes from the grocery store'...

Life is good, ANYTHING is possible if one is willing to work hard enough for it...

I am currently in the process of finding the perfect Philippino wife and It WILL be an upgrade. I just don't belive in that whole concept of '2nd best'.

Question: How did Helen Keller burn her fingers?

Answer: She tried to answer the iron!

My main concern for the OP is his assumptions about some foreign woman are a direct path to K-1 disaster. (or worse)

It is true he might find a nice lady whose goal is to establish a strong family life, but with "eyes wide shut" he is shark bait for the many who know how to play him.

PS: the part about him taunting his wife with suggestions he might find a Philipine. wife seemed odd and diminishes his role as Victim a wee bit.

My eyes are not only open, but I am 'expecting' scammers. I may have been born at night, but it was not 'last night'...

It wasn't 'taunting'. It was a joke and was taken as a joke. BUT... I have decided to find my next wife in the Philippines...

Hiya Rag, long time no see.

All is well...been busy as all get out...that's why I've been away. But I've decided to take a little break.

Remember, without hope, you're hopeless.

Hey, ya gotta go with what ya know. I can understand your attraction to a certain type of woman.

Before I got married (sorry RingRing...hope you don't read this) I was into Indian, Moroccan, and Ethiopian women.

I love the look of exotic women. But ultimately it wasn't JUST an exotic beauty, but a uniquely exotic heart that changed/chained me.

Besides objectifying women, you sound like the kind of guy I'd hangout with. Hell, I'd prolly still hang with ya. Nobody's perfect.

Plus, it'd be cool to see your Camaro in my rear view mirror. Blown ///M3 with a 293 lsd 40% lockup, putting down 500hp and 435lbs of torque.

Cold Steel camping shovel in the back seat...for killing zombies of course. Sigma in the trunk (only when I'm on my way to the range...which is only on days that end in "Y" if anybody asks). We like dogs, but travel too much.

The way I heard it was,

Q: How'd Helen Keller burn her face?

A: she tried to answer the iron.

Q: How'd she burn the other side of her face?

A: they called back.

It's called experience.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
