Hi all,

I got a NOA1 from CSC on May 15th but there is no word on NOA2 and only one week left before the 5 month processing time deadline. A few questions for you all:

1 - Is there anyone else in a similar situation?

2- Can the NOA2 be delayed past the 5 month processing time?

3 - I see that some people have "touch" in their timelines, what does that mean?

many thanks in advance...

Hi,

I also received my NOA1 around may 15 or so. On the advice of some great people (Starlight95 mostly) I contacted my representative about a week ago. Today I got an email from the representative saying that I was approved for the NOA2. I'm sure that the congressional inquiry played a part in getting the approval. So,... my thoughts to you is to contact your Representative today.

Update: After a service request with USCIS and two congressional inquiries, my petition was finally approved yesterday (10/28/2009).

Congratulations SUMO! and Congratulations trdc3lica! (F)

To answer question: Yes timeline is different for everyone. The only reason that is quite obvious is on background checks. Some get delayed, some get done more quickly. For what this is could be in detail, only the CIS knows. The touches are the times when your paper is looked at by the staff working on the petition at CIS

For those interested in my interview experience, just please look at the embassy/consulate reviews. Summing up, it was a really very nice experience for me.

Life is beautiful!

I really hope you guys can get P3 sent off soon!

The paperwork is available in PDF format. Have you tried getting him to fill it out and send it to you to make sure all the stuff is filled in right?

I filled mine in like 5 times before I printed it off.

I filled mine in like 5 times before I printed it off.

I filled out most of the forms, he has them... He says he's got everything but one form and the checklist filled out. Now that he has the medical date, the checklist can be ready. For the form, there is nothing else that he has a reason to wait for, he's got the dates, the printer is working... everything is there, just needs to be filled out at mailed! I won't harass him this weekend, but come Monday, I'm jumping on it again! Hopefully he'll get it finished next week. Then we just wait for an interview and make sure the medical goes smoothly!

hmm.. i am not sure if they are the ones who give you the medical exam schedule in your region.. but i know for a fact that here in the Philippines, you SHOULD have to have your medical exam at least A WEEK BEFORE your interview. let me know if it's the same for you. because they need time to send the medical exam results to the embassy .. and they ask this from us so that should anything go wrong during the medical exam, you still have time to set things right before your interview date.

good luck.

Canadians can get the medical after the interview if it just ends up happening that way.

We just get RFE'd for it and then we just send it to them and they finish processing the visa.

Yup, like Rhiann said, Canadians can get the medical the day before (or after) the interview. I definitely think that I have everything in order, and I'm positive about everything. I'm getting my medical done at Woking Clinic in Vancouver, and they give the results that very day, so I'm definitely lucky in that regard! :)

Hi Rhiann, I'll be going on the 17th Nov. I think I'd be able to confirm through my travel agent today for that. By the way, your interview is coming up soon! I am sure you'd do excellently no less (F)

Actually, I'm not really excited.

I've never been one to get excited about things like this.

I just want to get it done and over with.
