Well, one is a pain in the butt since it's electronic and has to be finished in one go, and you have to pay for it. I dont know if your consulate is part of it, but only certain consulates have to have people fill out these forms.

Just curious, which form do you have to pay for, I want to make sure I'm not missing anything! :)

Turns out I didnt have to pay for it.

I thought I had to pay for the DS-160, but I never did... which is strange cause I thought I read somewhere that there's a 40 dollar fee.

Ok, good... yea I filled that one out ~ and I'd have to say these packet 3 forms are a real PITA. I found myself wondering if I was doing or marking in the right things so many times... and there is so much redundancy too. And as you said, some you can't even save and come back to later, its a one shot thing, and I think it was the DS-160 online one that kept timing out (though I was well within the 20 minute limit) so I learned to save it to a file after each page I completed!

The latest update with my RFE is that it was picked up by V. Semeghi at 7:30 in the morning. So, now my RFE is at CSC :). Hopefully, some nice soul at the CSC takes pity on me and approves my case as soon as possible. Maybe tomorrow I will get that famous email stating my RFE has resumed processing.

We have a nightmare situation ... DHL says they delivered our petition to the consulate in Naples last Thursday, but the consulate says they don't have it. Has anything like this happened to anyone else? We have our consulate number, our A number, everything. How can they just say "We don't have it"? I'm so angry. Any advice?

Event Date

Service Center : Vermont Service Center

Consulate : Naples, Italy

I-129F Sent : 2009-05-18

I-129F NOA1 : 2009-05-21

I-129F NOA2 : 2009-09-01

NVC Received : 2009-09-04

NVC Left : 2009-10-02

Consulate Received : 2009-10-05

Packet 3 Received : 2009-10-07

Interview ... WAIVED? Never heard of this, but they didn't even interview him, just told him pick up his visa the next day.

Current Status: Interview ... waived ... I guess :) They just took his fingerprints and documents and told him everything was in order and he should pick up his visa tomorrow! WOW

I can't believe it's only been 7 months since we filed ... seems like an eternity!

This is very strange, are u sure they delivered it to Naples and not another consulate. I am sure this situation happens often. I would suggest you create a new post and just ask all VJ members in case someone who has completed this process might have encountered this and they can give you advice on how to fix it.

Okay, did you call NVC for an exact shipping date?

Like when it left their building.

It's much easier to track things if you have that date.

Now if what you mean is that through the DHL site you can see it's been signed for and they said it's missing, well...

Montreal recieved mine, but they take a while to log it in.

Maybe Naples just hasn't logged your package into the system.

Montreal takes like a week to do it.

I'm a May filer! :) My consulate is in Vancouver, and last Friday, I received Packet 3! So now I'm working on that, and hoping to have my interview after I get my Birth Certificate + Police Record Check (in about four weeks... :S ) I haven't faxed over my DS-156 PT1 along with my checklist yet since I haven't completed it... or are you suppose to? Acks!

Vancouver's pretty fast.

I'd try to get all you can before you send the form and checklist back.

I think the last member who I recall went through Vancouver got an interview within a month.

I suggest booking your medical now if you havn't done so.

So, no touches yet. I have not recieved the famous "resumed processing email". Hoping tomorrow is the lucky day. This is probably what happened. They recieved my RFE yesterday morning, and currently sitting on someones desk to look at it and proceed. Still trying to stay positive and its so hard. :crying:

It seems like on the third day you got that resumed processing email. So, hoping tomorrow will be the big day now. Right now its 11:46 am. I did sign up for the mobile alert, but nothing yet. :(
