Finally a bit of progress! My check was cashed May 14th and from what it looks like, NOA1 was sent out on May 13th. Is that what they mean by "On May 13, 2009, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case."?

Where did you get that message from? E-mail? It's been 10 days since my fiance mailed the petition (8 days since the package was delivered) and we haven't heard anything from them yet.

And congrats on your NOA1!

We got the message by entering our case number (taken from the back of the check) into UCSIS' website.

Ohhh, ok. Well, we sent a money order so we don't have the option you had. Guess I will have to wait for a NOA1 hard copy that NEVER COMES!

Thank you!

I cant wait till the 4-6 months till this whole thing is over and get to see my fiance ....damn I miss him and its hard to keep a straight face every day!! Aaaaargh. Got nosy and found the website that has the 2nd batch of papers they ask for on the London embassy. So printed them off and had them sent for the poor man in England without a working printer...hehe....damn I'm good. Ok bored and slightly obsessed about this whole thing and want it OVER SOON!!!!!!!!

Here's the link for the London embassy....THanks to another VJ'er he put this post up:

When your file arrives at Consulate in London, approx 3 weeks later they will send out packet 3. Packet 3 doesn't contain any forms but gives you the information of where to find these forms on their website. Below is the link with the forms in top right corner.

http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/iv/iv_15.html

When you send the forms DO NOT send your police cert, birth cert & I-134 with supporting evidence (tex returns, pay stubbs, employment letter etc). You take these to the interview & present them on the day.

WOOHOO HAPPY PRINTING FOLKS!!!

I hear you.

The waiting part is horrible. But nothing is worse than all the "goodbyes" we have to deal with. I just can't stand saying goodbye to my fiance every time we see each other. I'm so done with airports. Hope we don't have to wait so much.

We filed May 8th, it's now the 19th.

No word on check cashed or NOA 1.

I wonder if this has anything to do with him filing with a lawyer... *sigh*

Hell, I don't even know if the package got there... no wonder I didnt want him to file with a lawyer.

Ours is a combination of letters & numbers on the back of the cheque...I'm assuming everyone's is like that. Go to :

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis and on the right hand side it says "Check Case Status", with a box under it.
