I would like to spend Christmas in the US with my fiance for once, but I'm not hoping on it happening.

New Years would be nice, but I probably wont get my visa till after that

Glad to hear you had a good trip.

Still waiting on our NOA2, no touches, but we're sitting tight and hoping it will come through soon :) We hope to have the visa in time for me to go over there on Boxing Day (Dec 26) since I want to stay with my family for Christmas. I just got back from two weeks in the States with my fiance, very exciting trip, we went to the Blink 182/Weezer concert in Connecticut, and I got mugged! (almost... he tried to grab my laptop and I wouldn't let go!) And to think I'm going to go live in such a crazy place for the sake of love...

Welcome Back!! Besides the horrible situation with your laptop, it seems like you had a lot of fun. Well, so many things have happened. I got a darn RFE and its driving me insane. As its requiring a document from abroad, but it seems like it will not come in time so I have to go with my other option. Hang in there your approval should be on the way.

And thus starts the long weekend.

Visa progress hiatus till Tuesday :(

I have this feeling that that second touch was your approval, and if they will touch it one more time that could be your hardcopy of your approval. Because your RFE was a very simple one.

I'm still worried that they won't take the photocopied signatures on the G-325A.

I'm pretty darn sure they used them anyway... cause page 2 of 4 is missing that I signed. Maybe they used that I'm not sure.

This example is actually giving me hope. I mean they overlooked that and if I submit the evidence they need to confirm that my divorce is final. Maybe it will work, because after exensive talks with attorneys in India it seems like it will take more time than needed for my decree.

Wow! We missed you!!!!!!!!!!!! Where have you been besides VJ? Remember this is your home now

Hey I am sure you will get your packet 3 very soon onces NVC gets your file. Then they forward it to the consulate. That wait is about 2 weeks or so.

Me on the the other hand is going crazy with this RFE :crying:

I am thinking I am going to get a denial. Because the divorce decree they want from India will not come in time. So, the lawyer wants me to submit some other evidence. But, per indian law my religious divorce is considered legal. The lawyer is confident I will not get a denial. But, I feel it might not be enough. Sorry just venting and worrying. :crying:

I just realized I say "like" too often so it seems I have to edit

well aside from going crazily excited about the NOA2, i have been busy working on the documents i need for the interview. is it too soon to call NVC to ask for my NVC number (one that starts with MNL for phil benificiaries)

i dont think you get the denial ! :bonk: if you have the papers ready by the time you get the interview then it should be fine.. dont worry too much! and i think you need to start a new thread when you get ur approval ! what was your RFE about? i missed a big chunk of the thread.. i fail

and yes i use the word "like" as well. even when talking. lmao. my fiance told me i sound like that girl from american pie (one time.. at band camp.. )

Anyway, what's package 4?

I saw it in your signature, is it the interview letter?

Packet 4 is the interview letter. I'm not sure if Bryan's received it or not... I requested that Vancouver e-mail me when they set the date.

I know, it seems like Vancouver is pretty on top of things. They responded to me within an hour with Bryan's interview date... on the same morning he faxed back his packet 3.

The e-mail did contain a lot of grammatical mistakes, though! ...

5/15/09 - NOA1 date

5/20/09 - check cashed

8/31/09 - NVC received

9/2/09 - NVC sent to Embassy

10/7/09 - Fiance went to Embassy to pick up packet

10/7/09 - interview date scheduled for 12/14/09

12/14/09 - Chuks didn't go to the interview

12/30/09 - went to embassy and scheduled another for 3/15/10

3/15/10 - interview *****APPROVED*****

4/16/10 - went to pick up VISA ~ was put on AP. Embassy said they would call
