So I did get the lucky touch!!! The touch on Aug 17 was the approved NOA date. 2nd touch of Aug 18 must have been the mailing date.

No touch or email for me today either.

Well, they're still open for about 4 or 5 more hours.

Maybe tomorrow

Congrats to everyone else who got theirs!

And yeah, what does it mean to be in AP anyway?

Additional Processing... its the black hole that some applications fall into and it could take between days and MONTHS to climb out and find their way to the Embassy.

So like... what kind of additional processing?

More redundant background checks?

Sounds crazy.

I was in Additional Processing and it was in there from July 29th until August 14th. I'd like to say brownosing helped me get out of it ( http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=3242431 ), but I'm sure it was just a coincidence.

On August 13th, I told my fiancee to prepare to delay things and expect it to take 2 months, but I was happy to see it finally get out of Additional Processing.

Also, Additional Processing is not the same as the black hole (Administrative Processing). I verified that with the lady I talked to at NVC.

I am a May filer too (I received my NOA1 on 15 May) and just received a Request for Additional Evidence. I am so disappointed! I didn't expect this at all as we submitted so much information and evidence (pictures, plane tickets etc). I don't know yet what additional evidence we need to submit... We're waiting for the paper copy to arrive.

Has this happened to anybody else? Is there any chance that our case could get rejected if they are still not happy with the evidence provide?

Thanks for your help!

No, your case will not get rejected if you provide what they are looking for. They might be looking for a copy of your passport with the stamp of entry/exit. Did you include a copy of your passport? I would not worry about an RFE, as majority of the time you get your approval within 1 to 2 weeks.

I haven't gotten a touch either.

I'd just love to see some other date other than 05/18/2009
