I thought I would be an April filer but looks like I am now a May filer!

Since my SO and I are both in Australia right now until late August, I had sent my I-129F packet to my mother in California so that she could include a copy of my birth certificate and then send it off to CSC for me. Well, that was all fine and dandy until she decided the line at the post office was too long to wait in and instead put what she thought was enough stamps on the package. That was April 7th. Fast forward several weeks and the whole package was sent back to her for not having enough postage!!! Blah. So she re-sent it on April 25th with certified mail this time, and I just checked online to see that it was delivered on May 4th. Glad it FINALLY got there, but what's up with USPS taking 10 days to deliver something only 30 miles away!?

Hopefully CSC doesn't hold up this process as much as my mom and USPS :lol:

03-02-2010: Walk-in biometrics - 4 hour wait but completed!

04-20-2010: AOS Interview - Passed!

I was supposed to be an April filer too but we had a few problems.

Anyways, my fiance finally sent the file yesterday, 05/05. So excited!

Wow a May '09 thread! Seems strange being a May '08 filer. Hope you guys don't have to wait as long as we have. I only had my interview yesterday..12 months later!

2/24/09: NA02 APPROVAL... finally, after 9 MONTHS & 8 DAYS!!

5/5/09 : Interview Date APPROVED!!!!

5/8/09: visa received

From NA01 to interview: 12 LONG MONTHS!!

07/23/09: received SSN

08/17/09: Passed Driving test

08/22/09: Married on beautiful Mackinac Island, MI

AOS

08/31/09: Mailed AOS Package

10/20/09: Received AP

10/21/09 Received EAD card

12/7/09 AOS APPROVED!

12/14/09: Green Card arrived in mail. Happy Days!

It's taken 18 months from applying for K1 to receipt of Green Card! Thank God it's over until 12/7/11

Here we go again...

10/14/11: Biometrics

7/2/12: Approved. New Card Ordered

Okay... so, verification that I mailed the I-129F, arrived @ CSC early in the morning on April 30th... no NOA1 yet? Anyone else filed near then? Any news? I know, I'm just excited to have a case number :D

My bf just told me that his check has been encashed but no NOA1 yet in the mail :( dont they send any notification in the email when they hve send the NOA1??

All I supplied was a complete copy of my valid US Passport, is this going to be a problem for me ? the 129F specifically states:

3. What Documents Do You Need to Show That You Are a U.S. Citizen?

D. In place of any of the above, you may give USCIS a copy of your valid, unexpired U.S. passport issued with a validity period of at least five years. You must submit copies of all pages in the passport..

I did not use a Lawyer but, I did have 2 Phd's, 3 acountants and 3 auditors who's work is specifically involved w/ Govt contracts, compliance and grants..

You can send them a copy of your Birth Certificate (front and back) OR a copy of ALL pages of your passport. If by "complete copy" you mean copies of all pages of your passport, including the blank pages, then you are good. :)

I got my Long Form Birth Certificate in like 3 days!

That was fast.

We filed May 8th, 2009 at the CSC.

Waiting for the check to be cashed n all that good stuff.
