The POE at JFK was very quick and easy. I went on the visitors line with my wife, we were immediately taken by an Immigration Officer. He ripped open the sealed envelope, quickly reviewed all the documents, and took digital fingerprints of my wife's right hand. The IO then stamped my wife's passport with I-551 for 2 years. At this point we were asked to go to the end of the hall and around the baggage claim area to another officer with all of our documents. We handed her the documents, and she asked us to take a seat. Not even a minute later, my wife was called up again, the officer took a fingerprint of my wife's index finger on her right hand, and stamped our customs declaration form, and we were done.

The process took less than 10 minutes, and was very quck and easy. It actually took us longer to wait for our bags then it did to go through immigration and customs. :) :) :) :)

I went through Dulles customs, they weren't rude, but there was no friendliness in the customs officer I spoke with!

I'm glad Arun will be going through JFK - just three days away!
