Been lurking on this website for the past 9 months and never posted, just been reading and learning. I just want to thanks you guys for posting your comments. Here's my time line, if it helps:

3/20/2008

submitted I-751 form to VSC

6/15/2008

never heard from VSC, decided to call and found out VSC never received my I-751 documentation

6/20/2008

made appointment USCIS went to local office Fairfax, VA was told VSC never received any document and that I missed the deadline for submission. Was told wife will face deportation next few weeks after receiving an official letter from VSC for failure submitting I-751 in a timely manner.

6/21/2008

frantically reassembled another I-751 package but this time paid extra for signature confirmation; learned my lesson from first time, don’t be cheap on important documents, pay the extra $2 for signature confirmation (peace of mind) United States Post Office.

8/24/2008

received a I-797 Notice of Action that VSC received the I-751 package and $545 check was deposited and that conditional residence extended for 1 yr. Never received that deportation letter.

9/15/2008

Received a I-797 for biometric appointment on 10/29/2008

3/12/2009

never heard from VSC until march 2009 stating my case has been transferred to CSC facility. Thank goodness for the transfer!

4/29/2009

Received I-797 C stating application has been approved and a new green card will be sent out in 60 days. USCIS website never showed "touch" as of 4/29/2009, it was touched back in 3/12/2009 when it was transferred from VSC to CSC.

If I can help in anyway, let me know.

hi molecule, congratulation. I was wondering what you send in for the quick approval since the VSC has been called "VERY SLOW CENTER". I would like to compare my DOC to see if I am missing anything. I will be sending my DOCS in about a week. Again Congrats!!!

I received a I-797C Notice of Action letter sent to my house this afternoon, got nervous by the thin envelope. The letter was dated on 4/24/2009 and the case decision was made on 4/24/2009.

The first time I sent my I-751 package back on 3/2008; I included: 2007, 2006, 2005 Federal and VA State Tax; a couple bills from gas company (2007), electrical company (2008) and cable (2008); also included couple months of joint bank account. I have to admit my I-751 package did not contain strong enough evidence compared to some of you. But I only discovered visajourney.com after I sent in my package and regretted for not including more information.

The second time, 6/2008, I sent in my I-751 package, I made sure to include more evidence after reading some your comments/posts. For example:

CONGRATULATIONS!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
