As pusbrk already said: the answer to question 11 is "No" and "N/A K1 visa" for both the petitioner and co-sponsor.

i feel like we're looking at different paperwork here.

mine says:

11. I (intend) (do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3.)

if you check "intend", indicate the exact nature and duration of the contributions. For example, if you intend to furnish room and board, state for how long and, if money, state the amount in U.S. dollars and whether it is to be given in a lump sum, weekly or monthly, and for how long.

well my father WILL furnish him with free room and board because my fiancee will be living with me and my father pays for the apartment.

so i'm totally confused now why it'd be "no" and "n/a k1 visa"

"No" above means you check "not intend" and write "N/A K-1 visa" below it.

This item on I-134 filed in K-1 support has no meaning whatsoever.

Remember that this form is used for many different purposes, for support in various visa application situations.

The I-134 is used for many visas. This particular question does not apply to K-1 visas regardless of who is providing his room and board. This question applies to immigrant work visas, etc.,where often the worker has a contract including this, for example. It does NOT apply to marriage based visas.

The correct answer is "no" or do not check either box and the explanation is "NA K-1 visa for permanent residency" That is all. You have your correct answer.

Take a look at the example I-134 here on VJ as well. It shows the same as what many here are advising. And that is what I followed when submitting the I-134 during my now wife's K visa journey. You're getting safe guidance.

Because it is a K-1 visa and this does not apply. You can ask the question again, And again. Our answer will be the same because we are giving the correct answer. We cannot change the correct answer to an incorrect answer based on the wording of the question.

I have given you the advice of exactly what is on my THREE I-134s presented for THREE K visas (K-1 and 2 K-2s). Leave the "box" blank and write "NA K-1 visa for permanent residency" on BOTH your and your fathers I-134. Do not list any assets, insurance or bank information unless you are using it for qualification, leave it blank. BLANK. Not -0-, not "NA", just BLANK.

That is the correct answer. It worked for me for THREE visas and the advice was given to me a year ago by Pushbrk who has given you the same advice here.

Next question...please

If very consistent multiple answers from many members here are not satisfying enough for you, why you don't get an immigration lawyer? I am sure you will get a very straight answer then... :crying:

If you annoyed me, I would answer once and never come back to the thread. You are mistaking someone insuring you understand the correct answer for someone annoyed. But there is only one way we can give the correct answer. Also, we were probably posting at the same time and our posts crossed, it happens. I read down the thread and answer as I come to them. A flaw in my upbringing, to be sure.

hey guys.

i'm a full time student and disabled so i am (very blessed) to have my parents co-sponsor for my fiance.

i realize that i have to fill out an I-134 as well. question 11 (intent) i plan to put that i will give my fiance $100 a week until he can procure a job. my parents give me $200 a week just to help me out.

they also pay for my apartment that my fiance and i will live in.

where in question #7 do i put that i get $200 a week from my folks and does that look suspicious since i put n/a to employment (full time student)?

what would you do?

thanks in advance. i know this question is a confusing one.

I would just show your occupation as student with zero income. Please note "a" parent can be the co-sponsor based on their own individual income, not "parents".
