I think I am to cry!

This month has been hell for me. I have been having chest pains over past few weeks. I think its all stress related but went for echocardiogram yesterday anyways per the advice of my doctor.

I have bought a house and I am moving in a few weeks. It should be closing this week. The frustration of this visa process is overwhelming. The not knowing what is going on and my fiance getting frustrated with the living conditions he is under. My company just let go a ton of people so there is some worry about our jobs. Last night my power went out in my apartment. I smelled smoke. I have zero electricity in my apartment. Other apartments in my building have some electricity. The apartments are only 2 years old. I was told by the electric company that it isn't their problem but a problem within the building. Its an electrical problem somewhere in the walls. The lights have been flickering for about a month now but kept being told it was nothing. I resorted to the fact that maybe I had ghosts. (just kidding) The maintenance people say they don't know when it will be fixed. It might be today, tomorrow, etc.

I don't know how much more I can take. I am nervous that my apartment is going to burn down and can't replace the items that are irreplaceable.

Sorry I just needed to vent because I am about ready to cry.

Awww Jen.... sorry it's been so rough for you. When things pile up like they have for you, it's easy to get overwhelmed. Try to stay focused on the positives.... and on WHY you are doing all of this in the first place. Some days, I feel like I'm just existing from one minute to the next... and other days are better.

Chin up girl... one thing at a time.... you're strong. You've gotten this far, right?

(((((((Hugs))))))))) I can totally relate about the apartment thing...I'm having trouble with the landlady that owns the house we live in. Electrical, plumbing, leaks...but she won't do anything about them except raise the rent! So...we're hoping to find something soon that we can afford and then when we move out...we're calling the building inspection department. And then to be dealing with this visa process and not sure about your jobs...no wonder you're stressed out! A good cry does help...helps relieve pressure and emotions so go ahead and indulge in a good cry. I've had many of them myself

Jen I think alot of us can relate to this, the last few months of waiting are extremely stressful. I ended up having a major panic attack about a month before I left the UK. Ended up in an Ambulance to hospital, with off the scale blood pressure and thoughts of a heart attack.

To help me calm down I took the herb Valerian for about 3 months, it is generally an over the counter thing you can buy. It relaxes you naturally and also helps sleep, another thing you may be finding difficult.

Other than taking that, I just tried really hard to spend some time everyday just sitting quietly for a few minutes.

Do something like these things to help yourself, don't just struggle on or you will eventually crack.

This process we all choose to go through is just so stressful and I have no doubt your chest is probably to do with the stress and having the ECG is a good idea, as at least then you will not be worrying about your heart too.

I hope you are feeling better today. This stress thing is not good, I notice I too have been sometimes getting short of breath when I am thinking too stressfully about things.

There for awhile I was really stressed out too. Like other posters say try to take some calm time for you, listen to nice music, take a walk, clean the apartment, box up some of your things for the move Get your mind off life...

If all else fails have a couple of friends over and drink a bottle of wine. LOL

My house is 30 plus years old, the wiring is a mess, and it's still standing, the landlord is 82 years old so overall the rent is cheap but it's falling apart.
