What does expired date mean on my Paroled stamp?

I went back to my country to visit my family with using my Authorization for Parole document this time and just came back to the U.S last week.

My question is what does the expired date mean on the Paroled stamp that I got at the immigration? The date is different from the expired date on my Authorization for Parole document. The expired date of my document shows 8/21/2009 and the stamp I got at the immigration shows 4/21/2010 which is a year after from the date I got back from my country this time. What does this date mean?

Also, I thought this document will be kept by immigration officer but they actually gave back to me! Do I need to submit any place or I can keep this?
