I chose option 1 and forget about the rest

We were all newly wedded once, it was an exciting and mind-blowing experience for us. Honestly we didn't know what we were doing most of the time, as a couple, from purchasing merchandise, to paying for extra services which we didn't really need (option 2 and 3) since we were very emotional and tried to please each other so much and it wasn't seemed to be a big deal.

I know folks who got those gigantic photos in wooden frames brought back to the states and still in the back of their closets collecting dust, simply, as awesome as it looks at the studio or when you look at them at her house in VN... those pictures don't fit in any style of decor or seem overwhelmed in your home in the US. Someone back me up on this one please! The word best describes them: very Sến or Cải Lương! (cheesy if not corny)! No offense to anyone if that's your taste, it was once, until we bring them home, here in the US then you realize, what the heck were you thinking during that photo session.

For OP, get someone to box it up good, pay extra and check it through all the way to your final destination. I would rather have the prints done in VN and roll them up, get it framed here in the US. Cost more, but you would be mad if you lose those frames or risk get them punctured during transit.

Good luck and do share your photos here with us. I always love to see wedding pictures, especially Vietnamese VJ members.

You should start a thread for this or hniHnitsuJ can since he's the one who start out this pictures thingy.

I totally agree with Chuck here. This is just my opinion. This is not meant to insult anyone here at all. All the wedding pictures you see in Vietnam look all the same to me.. Pointing at imaginary things, looking at the corner of the pictures, and alot of airbrushing! Look really corny to me. I've seen some pictures where the couple dresses in the stupidest outfits you seen. Some people in Vietnam really like it, different strokes for different folks, I guess. My wife and I really dislike our wedding pictures. It looks kind of generic to every wedding picture you see in Vietnam. We kind of want to take our pictures over again in the US with a better photographer and better taste. Compare of the wedding pictures you see in Vietnam everywhere and then compare it to this:

n199305777_31474872_3428.jpgn199305777_31474887_745.jpg

These are photos taken by my friend Micheal Lyons from Houston and he just started taking photo's like these for 2 years now and I really like his propective on taking pictures.. I would rather have these then the generic ones you see in Vietnam.

I have no Idea how much they charge in US but in this instance I would say you get for what you paid and I would rather put out the money the 1st time and do it right rather than making the mistake I did and take mediocre pictures in Vietnam that I was never happy with. We just needed a pictures to put in front of our wedding reception door so I guess it did it's job.

$1000 in VN vs. $5000 in US! That's the cost of having it done professionally.

These pictures are AMAZING... now that's what I call professional!:thumbs::thumbs:

WEll, it depends on your taste I guess. DaiVn, I understand what you guys are talking about. At first I dislike how they did the pictures in Vietnam but when it was all done my wife loves it. That's all it's matter to me at that time. I saw people's pictures who took in VN and compare them to real life, they're not the same person. Oh well, we're only get married once (accept those slutz) so as long as she's happy I'm all for it. We also took pictures of our wedding and it turns out good so No Complain there. I guess we all look good on our wedding day.:dance:
