No. The birth certificate and certified translation from the beneficiary will probably be needed at the consulate stage, but it doesn't need to be sent with the initial petition. A copy of the petitioner's birth certificate may be sent with the initial petition, if it's being used as proof of citizenship.

How to make the I-129 F petition folder/package to send to Immigration: how I did it:

Ok. This is what I had: the US Citizen will be the one doing all the work at this stage. All the foreigner has to do is sign 4 sheets of paper and submit passport pix to the US Citizen, so that the US citizen can start putting the application together.

It annoys me when people make this assumption. Many beneficiaries on this site do all the work, and many couple do it as a team.

Thanks for this very informative post! I will be reviewing it for sure as I put my package together. I like the idea of 2-hole punching everything and fastening. Was wondering how I would attach everything so that it was readable, and wouldn't fall apart. Seems the simplest solutions are never very obvious, at least to me!
