Hello all VJ members and visitors,I'm fishing for comments on the american embassy in abu dhabi U.A.E.,I am an american citizen in the process of bringing my fiance from iran here to the usa for marriage on a k1 visa, she has her visa interview on july 6th,I read a few comments on this embassy and they seemed pretty good,I noticed some people said they were disorganized tho and that they had to make more than one trip to the embassy to get their visa, this may not be so bad if you live in the uae but having to fly back and forth from iran is a pain to say the least, did the embassy require an affidavit of support for the person you were petitioning for?,I noticed nobody that left comments about this embassy mentioned anything about submitting the I-134,I know I will more than likely have to give my fiance the I-134 to take with her but did anyone come to the usa on a k1 that was not asked for any affidavit of support?,our lawyer told me that she has a 98% chance of getting the visa if my income alone is enough(125% of federal guidline)but she only has an 80% chance if we have to use a co-sponsor,anyone out there come from iran to the usa using a co-sponsor?,do you think they will be more discriminatory towards her because she is from iran?I worry :(

Hi tonylikeslili and elham,

like you, not seeing so much of feedback about USEM AD gets a lil frustrating more than the usual petition/visa process .... i did find few sources thou and they have been very helpful. anyway i know u are asking someone particularly from iran so i won't go over the details as iam currently in uae and will be going to my interview in AD this June but iam asian. If it will help, we got our noa2 in 33 days and interview schedule 3 months after noa2. The USEM gave my schedule and no forms to be submitted ahead but rather everything should be on hand on the interview date. (we received our packet 3 and 4 combo in one mail)

i would be very glad to share you our journey, if it helps whilst we arent from the same country. I know its frustrating enough that you don't read as much details from vj members about USEM AD. Btw, we are k1. Goodluck to all of us

have a nice day!! :star:
