hi everyone, i know this might sound silly but i got hubby to email me all forms he sent first in, u know the G325a for us both and the i-130 form. Turns out hubby made a mistake on date of marriage ( we had seperate dates for the actual day the marriage contract was written and the day we had a wedding party)...so basically he didnt put the one that says on the marriage contract - dont ask me why!!!!!!!!

but anyway now ive filled out the DS230 ready to send to him but of course i have put the actual date of marriage 8th july 2008 - which is on the english translation of contract (we married abroad).... he put 10th on the other forms. Is this likely to cause a problem and should my hubby call them to let them know of the mistake...if so who should he call NVC or USCIS.

Help is much appreciated

Thanks!

Your hubby can call NVC and alert them of the accidental inconsistency. They'll make a not of it. But you should probably also have him complete new and accurate G325a forms. The gov loves reasons to put your file back on the bottom of the files, but they also don't like more work. Your petition has been approved, I doubt they'd reverse that for a simple typo. They may have a question about it during the NVC stage or not. If they do, be prepared with teh G325a to respond to an RFE (request for evidence) if they don't, you should have copies of them with you at the interview if the question is raised there...or actually, you may want to just raise the issue yourself AT THE END OF THE INTERVIEW. Just so that all of the documents are consistent. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry too much...but DO your due diligence.

Ling Ling is correct. As a matter of fact, I would just prepare for the RFE, when dealing with the government they wont just accept an excuse over the phone, evrything must be documented, the forms will have to be redone with the correct information on it. Period. :clock:
