No need DC anymore. Just be sure and get your CENOMAR.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

DV - started around Feb. 08 and ended Oct. 08

It was an screwed up mess for many people including :USEM, Delbros, Robbie @ Delbros, and Petitioner and Benificary, and NSO.

The USEM, would request certain documents from the PI Govt. (CENOMAR, Birth Cert, Etc)

and they would compare them to what was suppose to be on file

Stupid part was, at the interview the Beneficiary had to bring the same documents.

It held up many people from getting visa while the USEM waited paperwork from NSO, It was a big mess that never was organized and just became to much of a hassle for everyone and it was dropped.

If the USEM wanted to do Document Verification, then it should of been done before the NOA 2 was issued

The K1 visa guide on VJ is in desparate need of an update. Follow the USEM website instructions as they are current.

thank u so much for the members who replied here.. so that means the u.s.e is satisfied with the docs. we are submitting to them bcoz it is legal and comes from the nso already, they wil just check the backgrounds only if they are not satisfied with the docs. we presented to them, and if they have doubt maybe on the beneficiary.. right?

That is pretty close. The documentation and results from interview are pretty much at the discrection of the Consulate Officer (CO). If the CO finds any reason for doubt they can further review documents, ask for more proof, or worst case not approve the visa. Most VJers go through the process smoothly because of being prepared by the information and help on VJ.
