I'm a little bit confused. I understand that when I file, I will receive a biometrics appt. letter, correct?

Now, on the I-751 form, it states that when you file, you must include a fingerprint card with the application. What is the point of that if you have to go back to do the biometrics again?

Also, how do I even find a local place that does it? I am moving to Alabama on Friday and have no idea where what is just yet. What if they don't even have any place to go? lol

Thank you! So nervous that i will end up messing the application up! lol

Who said that you need fingerprints with I-751. From I-751 Instructions.

Those who reside overseas pursuant to military or government orders, including conditional resident dependents residing overseas and listed under Part 5 of the form, must submit the following items with Form I-751:

1-Two passport-style photos for applicants and dependents, regardless of age.

2-Two completed fingerprint cards (Form FD-258) for applicants and dependents between the ages of 14 and 79. You must indicate your Alien Registration Number (A#) on the fingerprint card and ensure that the completed cards are not bent, folded, or creased. The fingerprint cards must be prepared by a U.S. Embassy or U.S. consulate, USCIS Office, or U.S. Military installation.

Please read the instructions carefully, those are not intended for you since you don't live outside US.

Since you live in alabama you will file to VSC.

USCIS Vermont Service Center 75 Lower Welden St. P.O. Box 200 St. Albans, VT 05479-0001

Please read the instructions again.

After applying everything is ok and you haven't filed before 90 days of your GC expriation USCIS will cash your checks and will send you NOA and after that 1 week to 30 days you will get your biometric appointment.

Hope it helps.

Good Luck.
