I guess I am not as anxious because I recently learned that my husband and I are expecting our second baby! So that's why I have my mind focused elsewhere. I still have not received my 10 year green card in the mail yet and I check every day (even in the cold rain).

I am waiting patiently (well, I am trying to ) for this final step to be over so I can focus on the next step; citizenship.

I have already started browsing the citizenship threads on VJ so I know what I need to be prepared for in the next 6 months ... is that bad? I am just eager to be over with USCIS paperwork!!!

It took 20 days from approval for my green card to arrive in the mail, so don't give up hope, it will come soon. Just think how excited you are going to be when you open the mail box and there it is. I think my neighbours wanted to kill me the day mine arrived:)

This is weird... he got approved Sept. 25, we got the letter Sept 30, and today we got an update saying card production ordered. I thought it was ordered when his case was approved. Is that usually how it goes? Just curious.

Oh well.

I was almost wondering if we should add additional columns to the chart - when the card production was ordered, and when the card was received. Probably too much bother.

Application Type: CRI89 , PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On October 20, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

*Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov under Check My Case Status and Check Processing Times.

Yeah, I'm Canadian born but raised all of my school years in Trinidad. I immigrated to the US by way of Canada which is why I have the Canadian flag up. I really do consider myself both as I have been greatly influenced by both countries, but will forever be ... Trini to the bone!!!!
