I prepared myself for the worse, it doesn't actually impact me in any way having to wait. I thought October would be satisfactory for this part of the process, any sooner is just gravy.

Saigon-okc has a NOA date of May 2 (filed at VSC) and got approved Sept. 14 .... there's hope for us yet, VSCers!!!

Opening the mail box last night, and seeing only one letter there, and it addressed from Immigration, got me sooooo excited, I almost screamed.

I can't believe it is almost mostly over, just wait fo the reeal card, and then take a break and then at some stage apply for citizenship.

Ahh man, I'm really really legal now:)

I've been a long time lurker on this forum, but just noticed this post and saw that there haven't been many May filers with approval from VSC. So to give you all hope, we sent the package on May 21st and have just returned home to find an approval notice! YAY! The decision date was 9/14. There have still been no updates online since the biometrics - which I went to a few days later then I should have as I missed the appointment (oops).

Hi everybody.

Although our window for filling already opened last tuesday, we haven't send off our package yet, because we are still waiting on a couple affidavits. However, because we are already late I don't want to screw it up and not send enough or the wrong stuff, I have a couple of questions:

When we filled for AOS we needed a co-signer because our income was under the poverty line (we are both college students). Some of my poof for removing conditions are bank statements from our joint bank account, and because we are students and don't have much of an income we don't have millions of dollars in there. The question is, should I black out the numbers on the statement or just leave it the way it is. I'm just worried that they are going to ask me for a co-signer (and if you ask me, it is nobody's business how much money I have anyways, as long as I'm not living off of the state --- and I'm not!!!). The same with our joint tax return papers... should those numbers be blacked out too?

Second, and less important question, is it ok to staple the papers together that go together, e.g. all the bank statements, all the bills, etc.

First off, you are not late filing; you can file anywhere in the 90 day window so you are fine.

Second ... you don't need to worry about your income level for ROC. All that USCIS is concerned with is that you have been living as a married couple. I used a co-signer too during the K-1 and AOS processes. I wouldn't worry about blacking out amounts. In fact, I wouldn't do it as I wouldn't want the adjudicator to question anything. What I did was highlight the information I wanted to call their attention to ... such as both of our names at the same address and the dates.

Third ... don't staple. Use paperclips with a big bulldog clip/acco fastener to hold it all together.

And last but not least, you have posted this in the May filers thread .. if you want more advice, you should repost in the main forum under a new topic.

I got my approval notice today!!! Yay!!! :joy: All that obsessive mailbox checking was worth it; funny, this is the first time during the entire immigration process, from K-1 to now that I haven't received notification on a Friday, lol.

... Oh, and my status still has not updated since first showing after biometrics.
