Biometrics are done! Because someone around here is paranoid about being late, we arrived at 1.25pm. Fed the meter, Bruce filled out a form with some biographical detail (totally didn't look like an official form, just an internal one), went in to the processing area while I waited in the waiting room. Bruce waited 5 minutes to be seen, and apparently the guy was really nice. He said they took his fingerprints about 12 times -- stationary, moving, just thumbs, just fingers, different permutations -- and then his photo. We were out the door at 1.43pm, his biometrics notice stamped that processing had been completed. We left at 1.43pm. 18 minutes!!!

Oh, Van Nuys ASC, I think I have a little crush on you.

my biometrics for my AOS was like that too, super quick but I had to drive 2 and a half hours each way! Ugh! Thank goodness I moved.

So even though you applied a couple (or so) weeks after me, your biometrics are done way before mine will be so you'll be ahead now maybe, it'll be interesting to see!

It will be interesting to see how things progress, especially with so many people getting their biometrics postponed next week. We're really lucky that we live about 15-20 mins away from the Van Nuys office -- the round trip including the office visit was under an hour.

He thought he was really, really funny when, on the way out of the office, he turned to me and said, "Oh, and they kept my passport. That's right isn't it?"

Maven: What the HELL are you talking about? Why did they take your passport?

Bruce: I don't know, isn't that what happens? (shocked look) Has anyone on your "obsession site" ever mentioned that?

M: Promise me you're kidding me. Promise me.

B: (silence, befuddled expression)

M: You better be kidding me or we are going back in there...

B: HA HA!

Yes, very, very funny indeed.

hahaha thats funny but not at the same time - luckily in my situation I am the one getting my bio's done with the obsession so I can't fool myself that way...I think

Now I live 15 mins away from my ASC too! This makes me happier! :D

A quick question, let me know what you guys think, please.

My Bio app is scheduled for Monday the 6th, I haven't received a cancellation/rescheduled letter for my appointment, but do you think they will turn me away when I go on Monday as they have cancelled some for the 6th and if they are updating there systems from the 7th, do you think it includeds the 6th as well, and I should just do a walk in tomorrow?

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for your help in advance.

little4ele I hope you went to your appointment as scheduled; if your appointment was not cancelled then you should not have any issues.

Questions to those who have completed their biometrics:

How long after completing the biometrics did it take before your case was updated online with the biometrics information?

I did mine on Thursday and up to this morning it still has not been updated yet. I figure that since Friday was a holiday I will give it some more time before panicking …

You should add yourself to this May filers list on this thread.

As for me, I was only able to access my info online the evening of the day that I got my biometrics done and since then, it shows no touches. Last date shows is my biometrics date.

Ooooh, just checked my case online and I was touched! I'm sure it was just the biometrics complete thing, but having done the whole DCF thing where we can't track online, I'm much like Madonna once was: touched for the very first time.

I dreamt last night I got an email we were approved. I hated waking up.

I'm here, my information is in my email signature, what else do I need to do the be formally added?

That is what is bothering me. I completed my biometrics last Thursday 7/2 and my case has not been update online to reflect that yet. It still says that my application was received on 6/3 and I will be informed of additional requirements.

Do I need to call about it or should I leave it be for a bit longer?

I wouldn't bother calling, to be honest - if you call and say you haven't seen any status updates on your case, you're unlikely to get much of a helpful response. They'll just say that if your case isn't outside processing times, you have nothing to worry about and just need to be patient. And I don't think you have got anything to worry about - from what I've read on here, USCIS is not the greatest at updating the online case status lately, and many people are finding out they're approved without ever seeing a single touch. Honestly, wouldn't worry! :)

I got my new biometrics notice today - it's now going to be on July 15th, so only 8 days later than the original date. Not too bad.

Went for my biometrics appoinment today, took all of 10 minutes. Quick and easy, the people were quite friendly. I still can't find my case online, but hopefully will tomorrow. My app was close to the end of work day, so I'm sure they didn't wanna waste time and log me inbefore they signed off for the day:)
