Hi, everyone, i will become a U.S citizen on 4/30/09. I would like to apply my parents to come here. they are back in China, I would like to apply in the U.S. does anybody know how long it will take, and what do i need to do now?

10/07/09 - Send RFE request doc.

10/14/09 - Touched (RFE request doc. received by USCIS on oct.13th)

10/27/09 - Approved (approval emails received)

11/05/09 - Rec. both NOA2 in mail. called NVC get case # for mom's case and emails regd.

11/06/09 - called NVC get case # for dad's case and emails regd.

11/09/09 - Received my mom's DS3032 & ASO bill via email

11/10/09 - Paid ASO bill $70

11/12/09 - Received my dad's DS3032 & returned Completed DS3032 forms (By email)

11/12/09 - Send Completed paper DS3032 forms (From China)

11/16/09 - Received IV Bills (By email)

11/18/09 - Paid IV Bills ($400 each)

11/24/09 - I864 mailed via Priority mail

11/30/09 - I864 delivered to NVC

01/14/10 - DS230 mailed via Priority mail

01/19/10 - DS230 delivered to NVC

02/02/10 - Login failed

02/09/10 - forwarded to GUZ

04/26/10 - received interview letter scheduled for 06/17/10 in Guangzhou

You would file form I-130 for each parent. The process is the same as it is for a IR1 visa so have a read of the guides here on VJ.

I filed for both my parents on March 6th 2009 and the I-130 has been approved and we are now at the NVC and hope to get a interview in July 09, so parents could be here in July/Aug.

thanks. do i need to file the I130 with some the doc. such as copy of my birth certificate, my parents' id, and their marrage certificate?

Or just I130 form itself.

You need to send your birth certificate showing your parents names, Their Marriage certificate and if either of them has been married before then the divorce papers or death certificate from their previous spouse. You will also need a copy of your Citizenship certificate.

So you send Just the I-130 with the supporting documents with $355, and then you will be instructed on the rest of the process? When do you pay the $400 or send the Ds-230? I am really confused. My husband is trying to file for his mom.
