FWIW....even PC games have compatibility issues depending on your OS. Game developers will make versions for the different OS if there's a demand for them and many of them are compatible with both PC and Mac OS.

Thats not entirely true. Most games are available on PC only. The more high profile games sometimes have Mac releases as well, but then there are some games (Crysis) which you'd have to have a top end PC to run anyways and you can't really upgrade hardware on Macs, so you can't even play it. Most games are made for PC to start, and if they sell enough units, or there is a public demand for a Mac version then they will go through the steps to develop one.

Many Visual and Performing Arts Colleges recommends a MAC. Many Engineering Colleges recommends a PC. In fact, there's more control with a PC over MAC due to scalability, and options. MAC are generally limited.

I can't run VHDL on MACs to program a FPGA board. This is due to the hardware problem. If I want to program a softprocessor onto a FPGA I have to use a PC. And, many of my test scopes needs a PC because of the plugin board requirements.

Well I work for a game developer. It's not too much trouble to make a Mac OS version of a PC title, and the future is digital. Most games will be downloadable or simply played over the internet - where all the processing is done from the server.

It really doesn't matter so much whether you have a PC or a Mac in terms of playing games, IMO.

Macs being immune to virus' is a fallacy. Quicktime is one of the biggest vulnerabilities a computer can have
