that's weird.. no more responses from the guy anymore.. maybe he only goes in the afternoon or has a day off today? I knew it was too good to be true..

GOGO, and BETH , first of all allow me to thankyou both on MR. Deputy directors email address. I emailed him yesterday, and his response is great but not very pleasant. he openly questions in his one email to his employee, " where and how are all these folks getting my email address from. Must be from chat room".

In his reply he writes that, just that i found his email address and emailed him does not necessarilymove my case into preferential category" and that actually slows down the processing of the application and repeated inquiries in to the processing by us actually slows down the process , since it takes the officers time away from the actual processing. That is the summary of his email .

He did reply that , CSC has sent a RFE on 6/11 which I have not recieved yet, and I emaield back thanking him and that i would be looking forward to the receiving the RFE.

As I had suspected the other day, now he may be getting tons of emails , from silent vj readers to active participants with all sort of inquiries, not only on I-130s but everything else. therefore he may not be replying. As a matter of fact, he, during his email to his employee, says, "I will reply this one", that implies , he may not or was suggested to ignore from his employee.

so that is the story on that email end.

now, on the other side of the coin, the RFE was not sent on 6/11 as he claimed. After talking to Beth this morning, i checked USCIS site, and it still had pending Status on my cases. I cheked my email nothing it it either. Beth insisted i should get an email regarding the RFE , and lo behold , It arrived at 11:45, saying below:

This seems rather after he recieved my email , which was sent at 8:45 am this morning, saying that i have nto recieved the RFE sent on 6/11. and he must have thought , it should not take this long to mail RFEs. So me thinks, he made sure it is sent out today. Oh well!!

i see some action on my file after 7 months. I had a touch on 6/12 out of nowhere. and i did suspect right that my files might have had a touch on 11 also. whatever is the reason, now I am looking forward to the RFE. I can guess that they want a different Translation of the marriange cert, and pictures of my wife and me and my child together and probably some Affidavits from Friends and Families.

that is my side of story. Bottom line, Mr. DD does seem to be helpful person and replies fairly quickly , but has started to wonder where and why he is getting all these emails from suddenly.

Anyways, looks like either he sent RFE annooyed by my inquiry, becasuse in his emial he clearly says " you have made 4 inquireies into this reciept number," and 5 on the other one, in addition to your email to me.

what that tells you all.....go figure I did have bunch of answers to mr. DD but i refrained from writing back for the reason that i had gotten what i wanted. so why fuss over it again and again. after all he is the DD , you know. :)

I bet you there are now Immigration staff prowling over chat rooms and social sites relating to immigration, to find out how and where the email address got leaked out. Just my speculation. However, think of this as he is US governement employee and anyone can email him. Just like if you find an address of a house on a street you can mail in something to that house as long as it is not some danger to a soceity .

that is my perception as US citizen. other could agree to disagree with me. :)

MENA spouses? Which is probley us, women /U.S. born petitoners who just found love overseas. Sometimes a bit younger then us, LOL, but from the ones I know of, they are hard workers, self supporting, caring. and 95% geniune on their intentions of marry a U.S. citizens. I said 95% cause they has been some bad apples.

But I have not red threads of MENA spouses, beating the ####### out of their spouse, or cussing them out from up and down side, or dispearing for weeks on end, then come home and expect things to be normal, etc. etc. etc. or just getting off the plane and disapearing once they land in USA.

I think we all have already left the DD talk behind , and have gotten what we wanted from it. So, I think we should request the admin or moderators or whoever could , to remove the posting that contains it. my humble opinion. On a second thought, working in teh government is going to be a public record anyway. we have not committed crimes by posting or emailing . rest assure on that.

now, as much as i dont like to worry about things that are not in my control, i also like to take the liberty to think that they will not hurt any of our cases just because of the email. Then again, it is upto us to have that posting removed. I think one can simply emial the admins.

I am glad i now have some infor on my case. however, the worry of what RFE could it be is just sinking in. and I am not sure what I will be sending back. I am thinking new evidences such as pictures, affidavits from friends and families, plus each and everything i originally filed should do it. I am darn sure it is going to on my marriage certificate which is in Nepali language, and i did submit notorized translation of the same. Since my wife is still in a foreign country, i do not have a joint bacnk account here, and no leases, or bills on both our names. There is no use of credit cards back home , so that is out of the question as well and i dont have that. I did send a letter from a bank where we have a joint bank account,and the bank is in Nepal. I dont have a life insurance policy yet, becasue i cant afford it or no one will insure me unless i quit smoking for 5 years. I did quit but its been only 2 weeks. LOL

So, Beth, courtney n ahmad, Betsy el alam, Ber ter, Martha, everyone, I would appreciate your suggestions and help on that.

on the phillipino stuff, phillipines is in top five when it comes to immgrating into usa. I beleive it is number one, but i could be worng. I can think of two reasons. One , they like to come to America. It is as simple as that. Second, American men have some sort of passion about asian women that if they were given a choice between American or Phillipinas, they would go with Phillipinas. Courtney is right in saying what she is saying, yet the other part is also equally true. My two cents on that.

I am really disturbed today. I have been following Iranian peoples desire to be free, quest to become free, and the demonstraion in definance to the threat they received from the facist theological leader called Ayotollaha khomeni, today was a big day for Iranians. A massive protest in Teheran, where heavily armed police and para military opened fire into the crowd. FOreign medias are all confined to their office rooms, and internet is the sole way for us to peek in iran. and the footage of a young girl on the streets of Teheran on youtube. I watced it the first time and i started shaking and crying even though she is no where nearly related to me. Just some thing very graphic that i could not watch it again. How could people kill their own country men, i wonder. Yet that is the trutch. For Freedom starts with Defiance, and Defiance means Sacrifice. Anyways, that is that.

Please all, help me on my RFE. I should get it by Tuesday.

I understand how you feel Mohan, BUT nobody did nothing wrong email the DD for assistance. ALL the requests were very respectful, and very professional, I know mine was, and I have doubts the other s were too. The emails were addressed to a higher up on the USCIS food chain.

Other higher ups have been contacted in the past, and I dont remember the presdident or a former president mentioning things in past speeches, LOL. How they get my eamil, DUH! Your a publice figure, government.

Hon, please dont worry, you were asking for assisitance by the same agency your dealing with. Lord knows many have just called the servie center and were treated rudely and so un-professional. I wonder if the highers know how rude they are in the customer assistance dept??? nother ?? Do thery care???

BUt it is sad that even with you case, the months you have waited, that your case is still in limbo/ and before the tought runs out of my mind, YES we will all assist you on the RFE. Maybe its a simple as them requesting for copy of your sons birth certificate. It will be fine, and WE are all here for you!!!

Also could be any number of simple matters, such as a marriage cert, could of gotten lost when your file was transfered. Or as you mentioned, they want a English translated version of it HOn. Please dont worry. We are here for you!!!!

My only comment is, that they were being completely unfair to women all over the world.

People should not generalize, nor stereotype.
