Morning gang, New day, and as we know Thursdays with USCIS seems to be a lucky day, but dont rely on the USCIS case status line, CSC does not use it to let us know if approved or not, only get touches when we call. UGH!!! Is there a easier way? So anybody calling USCIS today or tomorrow? I think I will wait till Monday, Im hoping the touch I got on Monday might be a approval, so mailman should bring NOA today or maybe tomorrow, Saturday at latest. I sure hope so.

Have a wonderful day Gang. How are we coming with our docs for NVC, lets get ready for it. March filers will see more approvals this month.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Mohan, its hard to tell anymore on touches, some get touches for a a approval and then NOA 2 in the mail while still showing pending with USCIS case status site, and a call does induce a touch I have figured that one out.

But hey, better news, your cases on a desk!!! that is almost as good as a approval. March filers will be happy campers by end of May, 3 full weeks left, and it will go quickly!!!!! You will see!!!!

Truly happy!!!

Still no NVC case #, just waiting and waiting and waiting. hehe.

you'd think that the wait is over.. but no!!! It never really ends until your visa is secured.

Nah, I don't think calling induces touch. I mean.. we've called what 3x or 4x... never got a 'touch' from any of them.

We even asked for two reprints of NOA1 and nothing registered on the USCIS online updates.

I think March NOAs are on the way... keep the faith. One day you'll be surprised that your mailman dropped a letter from Homeland Security in your mailboxes.

I somewhat agree with that, BUT... I got touches when I called, and so did Betsy, when I actually talked to a officers, except for 2 times which was Aprol 23 & 24th when USCIS did those computer updates, UGH!!! BUT if you call customer service . you wont see touches cause they dont pull up your case, they see what you see on the USCIS case status site.

So they are a worthless call.

Truly happy!!!

Not to contradict anyone here, I have seen call induced touches myself. The first time I called on March 20th, the lady said " do you want a RFE. well, let me look in your file. hummm....that is not enough evidence. You surely will get a RFE. I dont see your son's file. oh, wait a minute. I found it. well, looks like the two cases are seperated. Your applications are not assigned . wait for 30 days" At the time she was looking into my wife's application. But she did not look into my sons applications. That was Friday , around 4:30 in the afternoon.

I did not check the USCIS website. On Monday morning around 8, after I got in to work, I checked the USCIS website. It had my wife's file touched on 3/20/09. Around 11, there was another touch reflecting the day's date , 3/23/09 . I assumed that lady pulled my wife's file off the shelf on Friday while I was talking to her, and then On Monday , she put it back where it belonged.

Later on I called back on April 29, to open the service request for inqiries. As you all know I recieved an email back from VSC stating that my sons file was still at CSC. So now I have a touch of 4/30/09 on my Sons file.

So yes, Calls do cause Touches. My thinking - and it does sound logical to assume - that if there is a touch without any calls, then there is certain activity going on. I found that in " VSC to CSC tranfer in january" thread, where many applicants got there files touched between Jan 21 and 31 without calling, and recieved there approvals around first and second week of FEB.

I like to mention one thing:

Last Tuesday evening after checking my mail, I was kind of depressed. So I knelt down in front of The Almighty and asked for guidance with my eyes closed. Suddenly I felt someone was speaking to me. The voice said, " why are you worried. Leave it all up to me and everything will be fine." I opened my eyes and saw no one. I could not discern where the voice was coming from. Right there and then, as an obidient son, I handed all of it to HIM. Guess what? since then every time I think about the process and USCIS, something in me calms me down. These days I am not as tense as I used to be before Tuesday. Now I sleep better, I feel energized, I can focus at my job, and I am at peace. That was the reason why I posted the other day to not comment here anymore. I thought VJ was throwing rocks at my otherwise placid mind. I wanted to protect my newly acquired inner tranquility at any cost. However, now, I find things are different. :)

Cheers!! and thanks for reading. :)

Tht is very nice Mohan, I have treid to not worry, and place it in his hands, but I guess I still have not completly done that.

I try so hard to be positive and lift peoples sprits here, It just feels hopeless. I want to call so badly, but dont feel like geting grouwled and snared at by CSC for calling about my life "case".

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Beth, have you checked your email today ? :)

Yes Sweetie, only a email from a friend and I answered him. Mohan CSC is not emailing NOA 2, they are mainly sending them thru the U.S. mail and NOT updating the on line case status.

Still I wonder what that touch was on Monday I got. It was not from calling on Friday, cause that touch showed up Saturday morning when I check case status.

Thanks for the smile.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.
